I know he's in a touch situation but I think that's why he shouldn't have taken Luc in the first place. If he wasn't dedicated enough to her to put her needs first, before anyone else's, then he should have left her with VJ and Leah, who i don't think would've ditched her for a biological offspring.

I'm surprised Luc didn't go back to Vj after the op that stopped her screaming but he still had exams I guess.

I think if he'd fled the country with Luc and left Kat it would be how could he be such a terrible person to abandon his child.

Luc I'd a child in care. No official adoption. Surely someone will check up on Ash and then all they can claim is VJ kidnapped her without permission so now he is a fugitive who can never come home

I'm also wondering how Luc and VJ will be able to stay hidden forever? I'm now imagining Luc returning as a teenager and moving into the caravan park house with whoever is left

Haha sleeping, I know that your love for ash is unconditional and I think it's sweet.
I just think that if he abandoned Kat then his baby would've still been okay. It would have Kat and all the lovely summer bay peeps to fuss over it and look after it. I'm sure Marilyn would be there, babysitting and helping out, like she is for every other h&a baby.
But if he doesn't leave then poor Luc has that nasty rapist hanging round like a bad smell with a horrible custody battle hanging over her head, and even if Mick loses the case, he's always going to be an unstable threat lurking in the background.
So, if it was me, I would've left with Luc, obviously sending Kat money and offering for her and baby to come and stay etc.

They could leave for 4 months, convince baddun they've left forever and get him to leave then come back and be a weird parental double act with Kat and Robbo

Surely the fact that Mick abducted his own mother and held her for six weeks would have some impact on his custody application?! They all talk about the unreported rape, but he committed another fairly major crime and was convicted of it. Yes, he was deemed to be insane, but I still think it would be taken into account in judging his suitability as a parent...

I think Ash should've taken her under the guise of going to visit relatives. If anything, his lawyer could've used that to show he was maintaining relationships with her extended family. He only really needed to go for a few months until the lawyers had sorted it & then they could all come back. No need for anyone to become a lifelong fugitive, although it does give VJ a good cover story for never visiting the mother he was previously unhealthily close to. I think I'd take a life on the run over being smothered by Leah too, tbh.

They can all pop off there every time they want a break.

See if Leah is going to miss him that much.. why doesn’t she just go with him?
