I agree about Martin. I actually think he's a very good actor and I reckon Kush is good too but hasn't really had any great storylines to see it yet. He was good during the Shabs scenes. I'd describe him as a natural actor rather than the over stated type iyswim?

Stacey (lacy) is also good as is Jane (Laurie). D, Kim and Donna are great characters IMO. Donna and Kim being the humour! Same with Ben and Jay.

In some ways I'm finding the older characters are seeming to hold it back - it's like they have to have storylines as they were the originals but I'm not sure there's much more direction or drama! left for most of them to have.

I remain gutted Nancy and Tam left and also Masood. They were great comedy actors/actresses. They could deliver one liners in such a serious tone! Same with Babe. She was a pantomime character but you always say wondering what she would say and do next! even Shirley who's very funny and a great actress isn't getting much airtime ATM. Not to play a major role.

Does anyone remember when Whitney did the Shakespeare scene? It showed what an amazing acttress she really is but we've not seen anything as close to her ability since the stepdad abuse storyline.

Even as annoying and Kalfie were at least they bought some life to the show!

Nancy, Tam, Masood, Shabnam, Pam and Carol are all very missed. All great actors too.

youare I'm sure Witless is a great actress but sadly her character doesn't bring that out (she was good in the Shakespeare though), she just comes across as whiny and annoying now though.

Agreed whoever said the oldies (Martian, Kush etc) not getting great scenes now and it's more a teens show but not sure how much more of that I can take, that bloody school!

I also agree with you re Shabs, Masood, Nancy and tamwar. babe was classic and Shirley is underused.

They tend to keep annoying characters like Sharon in (she'll only go out in a body bag!) but she's so samey....

I still agree we could write it better ourselves. Just doesn't seem "real" anymore.

Sharon has boomeranged in and out the show since it started. They go off to find greener pastures new, but often come crawling back ! ( hello girls anyone?)
Bianca actress is another example.

Oh gawd, I agree, it has taken 10 years to finally show what a good actor Jack can be.

I mean, we even had to suffer through his live performance, which he couldn't have mucked up more.

Lacey Turner is a great actress but she hasn't had much lately apart from screeching "Martin" across the square and marching past with Arfer in his pram.

It must be hard to be a new head on EE. ESP as an adult

Didn't like Martin when he arrived with new head but like him now

But michelle seems so different from old michelle /susan Tully - hair style and mannerisms let alone character

New head Ben has been the best of the New Heads I think.

I really didn't like Hev-killer Ben, and I hate to say it, but musical-loving Ben used to be annoying.

The best Lucy was the one before the one that got killed.

Of course, the Janine we now know and love was a New Head at one time.

I don't really care about any of the Peter Heads, but if I had to pick, I think the one who went out with Old Head Lauren was a sweet boy (one before last).
