It's back November 2nd 10pm Sky Living. Really glad I've stuck with it, had a couple of bad seasons but it's really picked up again.

Wasn't Izzy doing pretty well the last time we saw her? Its GA anyway, there will have been a miracle cure.

Zipideedodah · 16/11/2016 10:54

If Shonda were thinking of bringing back Izzy, I wonder if she'd use a different address? There were so many stories around the time about them. I'd like to see Izzy return but I'd want the original actress Smile

EverySongbirdSays · 16/11/2016 11:20

Shonda will never bring back Katherine Heigl. It's not 'just' stories/rumours. She literally spoke out against her on Oprah.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 16/11/2016 12:18

I've just finished watching the whole of Greys Anatomy on sky box sets, and I agree about the characters who've gone, who made the series so much better. I really hope they are bringing back Christina.

EverySongbird - I missed the whole Shonda/Heigl/Oprah thing - what happened, please?

Alex used to be one of my favourite characters - but I don't see how they can rehabilitate him from this one. That was a serious assault, and he needs to pay for it properly - not just a slap on the wrist.

EverySongbirdSays · 16/11/2016 22:38

Katherine Heigl slated the writers, which Shonda didn't appreciate.

She was also very vocal during the Isiaiah Washington Scandal which didn't help it and enflamed the situation further.

Rhimes was later interviewed by Oprah for Scandal - it came up

The word repeatedly bleeped out here is Asshole. Asshole is said 4/5 times. BUUUURRRRN.

EverySongbirdSays · 17/11/2016 03:16

Tonights episode though....

DeLuca and Arizona? What are they implying that he has misinterpreted her concern? Don't go there.

Otherwise Tuck finally got out of the cupboard he's been in since a bookcase fell on him 10 years ago.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 17/11/2016 10:45

I was a bit gobsmacked when we saw Tuck - the last time I remember seeing him, he was a toddler! It must be nice, though, to have the resources of a hospital and its medical imagery, to scare your child straight!

Thanks for the info on the Shonda/Heigl thing - I completely missed that! Blush

BagelGoesWalking · 17/11/2016 11:01

I was incensed last night with how "boorrrred" April is, she's just had a c section, an infection, a tiny newborn and she's boorrred! In full makeup and no eyebags, of course

Jesus Christ, how did she even get to the hospital, she wouldn't be driving again yet and you'd be so bloody tired and in pain from her recovery. So bloody unrealistic! Grrrr

Dozer · 17/11/2016 12:26

She had a C section with no anaesthesia to boot!

Which made me quite angry actually: Shonda did something similar on Private Practice. Unnecessary trauma to women IMO.

DispatchReady · 17/11/2016 12:56

Yes last week she was sobbing cos she wasn't with her baby, this week she can't wait to dump her in childcare and get back to work! Mind you, GA childcare is phenomenal Wink! I think it's leading to Jackson being a SAHD storyline.

Maggie gives me the rage, total drama llama.

atticusclaw2 · 17/11/2016 13:11

Looks like Callie has gone for good too Sad

So now I only really care about April and Jackson. And Alex.

Derek's sister is annoying. She's a very unlikeable character.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 17/11/2016 14:12

I don't really care too much about April and Jackson - but if the series loses Bailey and Webber, I will be very sad.

Dozer · 17/11/2016 15:31

Have never liked Webber. Like Bailey, but less so recently.

I do like Meredith still!

And Owen. Amelia is alright, but not a patch on Yang.

V torn on Alex as like the character and his story but really hate violence.

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 17/11/2016 15:53

I think they killed off too many people, and ruined the show. They should've made sure there were some likeable people left before doing so!

TheSecondOfHerName · 24/11/2016 21:19

I'm a bit confused about why Ehlers Danlos Syndrome is so rare in Seattle.

Theonlyweighisdown · 03/12/2016 14:45

Why is Amelia so afraid to tell Owen that's she's scared to have a baby? Is she tells him about her son he'd so understand. She's really annoying me - creating totally unnecessary drama.

EverySongbirdSays · 03/12/2016 15:10

Is she afraid he'll judge her?

Or is it just that nobody in Seattle knows about it?

Theonlyweighisdown · 04/12/2016 01:04

I think that's what we're meant to think. But "knowing" Owen everyone who has watched greys knows he wouldn't do that does not make sense.

EverySongbirdSays · 29/12/2016 02:14

I feel like I'm the only one still watching.

Was thoroughly vexed tonight by the fact that the entire soundtrack was cover versions of songs used on Seasons 1 and 2. They've done this before, but it was particularly noticeable tonight.

It used to be original music and about 3 years ago it just became all covers, but tonight was covers of memorable songs from memorable episodes

It's like even they know that people are ONLY still watching out of nostalgia for the show it once was and they are trying to crowbar that vibe, that goodwill. It's actually having the opposite effect

MrsGWay · 29/12/2016 13:35

I'm only watching due to habit as I have watched it from the start. I am really disliking the Alex storyline as I get the impression we are still meant to like him.

Never liked April and was infuriated by her behaviour towards motherhood.

EverySongbirdSays · 29/12/2016 14:06

Yes, Alex brutally beats a subordinate over a misunderstanding, and we are supposed to root for him?

It lost the plot from Ghost Sex onwards though really, that was the tipping point into soap opera territory.

Celaena · 29/12/2016 20:17

i've had arguments on line where people have called Deluca a 'pussy' for not letting Alex off

"Jo beat up her ex and she got let off" and some other ones (that i cant remember)

trying to tell them that Jo/ex and Alex/DeLuca... have no link! fuckwits

(on an aside, I also saw Brandi Carlyle in concert - the Story and other stuff - and she was AMAZING!!!!)

EverySongbirdSays · 29/12/2016 20:19

Jealous. I love Brandi Carlisle.

Jo is no more in the right than Alex.

TheSecondOfHerName · 10/01/2017 15:16

So I've watched the first 9 episodes of Series 13 (up to and including You Haven't Done Nothin which was shown on 28 Dec) and Sky Living don't seem to be showing any more. Does anyone know when they'll be showing the rest of the series?

Celaena · 10/01/2017 20:10

the second half of the new series hasnt started in the US yet, so we will have to wait for that

i'm not feeling the love for this series so far though
