Roxy should rent a room from Donna that's realistic. Where is she supposed to be at Phils? His Sharon room, Denny room, Ben n Jay share, His daughters room and Roxy where?

I agree Enid. There is a lack of light, space and it is grotty looking and must be more expensive to heat than an upstairs apt. Thectent must be very cheap.

Did Minty live there originally? I have a vague memory of it being a lad's flat.

They did talk about the Coker flat but there was some disagreement about living above dead people.

I like that they make some of the flats look realistically crappy. You can see unmade bunk beds in Billy's house, and Buster and Shirl had really cheapo looking furniture. It's good set design.

For Billy but I think it doesn't suit Honey. She'd have those beds made and bright colours everywhere. Mind you that safari wallpaper survived at Pat's way past the point it should've been ripped off.

Just watched yesterday's episode. Why does anyone care whether Masood comes or goes? There's like some kind of revolving door on the square when it comes to him. Why do they keep writing him out and then back in for a few weeks and then out again, over and over and over? Who cares anymore!

Also what was whitney on about? "Get an advance" he's been woring there for 5 minutes, do employers even do advances anymore? "Your boss will bend the rules" no they won't, is she really that stupid?? She has absolutely no grip on reality at all - Lee would be doing her a kindness by setting her straight. And his deluded parents as well!

Lazy writing - thats definitely it, they've turned her into a vapid ignoramus with ridiculous expectations. Her character used to be realistic and perceptive. They're going for realism, but their main storylines are bonkers.

Whit has flashes of practical realism - like when she dealt with the sexually harassing punters in the pub and when they were managing the pub on Halloween.

WTF did Kathy's home knitting have to do with anything and how did Abby keep a straight face when delivering that line??

I also loved the bit where Derek says to Kath "I'm sure she said you were dead though"

Can't believe Lee would steal from his own mother rather than admit to Whitney that they can't afford a flat. Not sure you can blame depression for stealing. How much would a bangle with a couple of stones in fetch?

Agree about Masood coming and going, the writers don't seem to know what to do with him. They should bring back Zainab, that would liven things up a bit.

I agree, mrsw , stealing from his mother is very low. I had thought that when his boss was encouraging the staff to get credit card numbers it was going to lead to Lee defrauding a customer, but that appears to have been abandoned. And how wonderful would it be to have Zainab back - she'd be so good for Denise and would be a great sparring partner for Carmel!

YY to Zainab and Carmel living under the same roof as Masood, it would be hilarious. Apart from Kim there doesn't seem to be a lot of humour in EE.

I watched an interview with 'Masood' and he said that he left the first time as he had 2 weeks' holiday booked and the scriptwriters decided that it would be odd if he wasn't around the square for a while. He was always intending to leave properly at this time. However there are lots of characters who aren't seen for ages. Why didn't they have him going to stay with Shabnam or Syed?

Caught up with this week Whitney is doing my nut in who in the real world thinks they get advanced wages stupid woman i was shouting get a frigging job cant believe Lee stole his mums bracelet thats low. Was lovely to see Derek he was so lovely not sure why he is back but was nice to see him.
