Sonia slapped Pauline before she died, and Martin thought it had caused the anyerusm that killed her.

I also confused Derek with Pauline's husband! But that guy got pushed out the window by Dot or Jim or something really stupid like that. I think Pauline may have had a crush on Derek at one point and been rebuffed because he's gay.

Remember when Arthur was have a thing with the OW, Mrs Hewitt? That was very exciting because the actress who played her lived very close to me and was often to be seen in and around the village (she was married to Michael Aspel).

I remember mrs Hewitt, when Pauline found out she walloped him with the frying pan ( which is what joe hit her with & killed her)

Does anyone know why they all think that Lee has a hot-shot job, managing the office? Did he lie about the job or did the family just assume that's what the job was, as it was (very exotic for Eastenders) in an office? And if so, why?

Im finding the Whitney / lee story very tedious. The guy giving him grief and the horrible boss are just awful. It drags on next week too.
Whitney isnt stupid normally, they are making her out to be really dim over money. Taking Linda's jewellery is a low.

The Whitney and Lee housing stuff is really annoying me. They should have thought of another way to show the pressure on Lee without making up these ludicrously inaccurate situations. No way would Jack's flat be going for £750 pcm or even double that, and as an experienced landlord in a market with endless potential tenants, one set of tenants disappearing would not make him suddenly give a big reduction. Just ridiculous. Nor is there anyway they were getting a flat Whitney would want for £32500, or managing to afford it even if such a place existed. It is a massively defining feature of London life that housing is unaffordable. A young couple are not buying and on their incomes not renting a whole flat, they would be looking at a room in a house share. I know it is just tv, honest!
