Just it's something you do with close family or friend, favas can remember met only once? I'd certainly only share spoon with people I care about or fancied

Florathefern · 14/11/2016 23:56

What I meant Sinister is that people don't go into other people's kitchens, watch them cooking and bend down and lick the spoon they are using. Its something people do if they are intimate or a family member might do it (at a push). Most people would find it pretty gross if a neighbour who popped in for a quick word, licked their cooking utensils.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 15/11/2016 00:29

Yeah but they are now Faaamerly

SoupDragon · 15/11/2016 07:25

I thought Vincent and Libby were overly familiar too. There has been no build up of a family relationship before last night that I can remember,

MrsBotox · 15/11/2016 07:42

Lee needs to grow a pair and man-up. I think he is headed for a breakdown/runaway/suicide attempt. Don't blame him.
Whitless trained as a nanny I think. Why can't she get a better-paying job outside the Vic?

EnidButton · 15/11/2016 12:10

Tbf to Lee, (much as it kills me), he does have depression. Not sure he can just 'man up'.

MrsJayy · 15/11/2016 12:43

No he doesn't he has a lot going on his dad expects him to man up his wife expects him to look after her and buy 3k flats he had a shitty job work place bullying and that is before you get to the depression

SoupDragon · 15/11/2016 13:13

If you think about it, his parents think the world of him, his mother idolises him and they were both so proud of him when he was in the army. People have said Whitney is out of his league and he feels guilty about the chlamydia and the miscarriage. They ar all so proud of the job they think he has and all he can do is let them down again (having been thrown out of the army and having to leave the job he stole from Nancy etc etc)

I can see why he can't just man up.

MrsJayy · 15/11/2016 13:17

Oh yes forgot about the Chlamydia. I know he is a drip and wooden but he doesn't need to grow a pair and man up

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/11/2016 13:18

What exactly is Jack offering them for £750 a month? Is he renting out the bin shed underneath his luxury newly refurbished flats in a prime location? Hmm

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/11/2016 13:23

Oh yes I'm fed up of the constant comments that Whitney is out of his league. What's all that about?

SoupDragon · 15/11/2016 13:43

What exactly is Jack offering them for £750 a month?

A one bed flat that sleeps 16 with a built in child cupboard and a gateway to Narnia in the bathroom.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/11/2016 13:57

Grin Soup

mrswhiplington · 15/11/2016 15:22

Jack gave Whitney and Lee a reduction in rent because they are "reliable". The only thing Lee can be relied on for is having the most gormless expression in the square. Can see his depression coming to a head just in time for the Christmas episodes.

Nice to see Jane on her feet again. Loved the scene with Masood.

What's happened to Stephen?

MrsBotox · 15/11/2016 16:54

Lee might be depressed but that didn't stop him shagging Abbey, giving Whitless an STD then letting her take the blame.
If she was on the Relationships thread everyone would be telling her to LTB.
He needs to get a grip asap. No one else is going to sort it out for him.

MrsBotox · 15/11/2016 16:56

letting her take the blame....I mean letting her think the miscarriage was her fault because of STD.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/11/2016 17:15

I see what you mean, Mrs.B Lee needs to find the strength from somewhere to admit to his problems, come clean to his family and get help. It's frustrating to watch him plunge further and further into the shit.
I'm not sure who has their head deeper in the sand, him or Whit.

MrsBotox · 15/11/2016 17:18

ILostit..thanks. Thought I was the lone voice here Grin.

EnidButton · 15/11/2016 17:46

I'll agree to disagree on that one. But think we can all agree that the sooner him and Miss Tinkly Laugh 2009 piss off up North, the better.

Jay can have their magical Narnia portal flat and Billy can pay for it with his undertaker wages which must be so much more than the writers of EE think they are. Or why doesn't Billy and family move into the flat above the undertakers? Then Jay and Ben could have their old dungeon flat. Has that been mentioned by any of them? I'm sure Birdie and Les would let them have it cheap. (If they own it)

EnidButton · 15/11/2016 17:47

^that wasn't a spoiler btw. Just an early Christmas wish. Grin They all go Up North eventually, like it's another bleedin country.

Akire · 15/11/2016 18:05

Billy seems to have gone from being a dogsbody for Les to being manager with no increase in wages just lots of extra work. The
Increase in rent can't have been that much. Yet when Ronnie is planning a party it's all too much money for them something dosnt add up.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/11/2016 18:07

They all go Up North eventually, yes, in a black cab, crying quietly and always at the end so they can play the sad melancholy version of the theme tune. Grin

Enid, That better not be a spoiler, Blondes will not be happy! Wink

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/11/2016 18:12

Yes where are Billy's extra wages? And why the hell are they not using them to redecorate? Has Honey spent it all on unusual hair accessories and pinafores?

Akire · 15/11/2016 18:20

Oh and William spent year in states earning enough to pay for living yet they don't have any money at all. So he has have rubbish trainers and get bullied surely they have kept some savings?

Florathefern · 15/11/2016 18:24

Perhaps there isn't much point in Billy and Honey moving from a two bed flat to another two bed flat? They might not mind it being a basement flat.

I liked the way Roxy diverted the idea of a flat share with Donna. The conversation between Donna and Roxy was one of the most 'normal'conversations I've ever heard in EE.

When is Linda's baby due irl? It looks like a matter of days. I guess her maternity leave will coincide with Lee's breakdown.

Carmel will need someone to share with if Masood goes? The salaries in EE don't add up at all. Tamwar lived at home when he did the same job. Carmel earns enough to rent a whole house. Meanwhile Stacey and Cath couldn't make a living from the stall, but Donna can employ someone.
