Sorry! The plots have got so boring I'm turning Jay into a Les Mis character. I love Jay. Wish they'd stop giving him so much misery. He's one of the ones we'd like to see succeed and be happy. How can he be turned around after this? If they mess Jay's character up beyond redemption I'll be pissed off.

Libby's not awful, but she's not doing herself any favours by marching about being so sanctimonious and preaching to everyone . She talks to her mum in such a patronising way! Surely a daughter would discuss moving home after a long time away, not just announce it.

As a pp said, it's a lazy storyline to poke fun at vegetarians with the notion that they all eat tofu and lentils. The attempts at injecting humour into EE are failing miserably at the moment.

I know little about funerals, but I was quite surprised someone would be buried wearing expensive jewellery. I thought it would go to the next of kin.

Denise will get statutory maternity pay for 6 months. She's been at the shop for years though. Dunno how she'd be on zero hours.

The way she said it was like full pay for ten months not around £140 a week for ten months. Still can't get over uni deciding she can take time off over non urgent matter.

Aghhh I watched it again after saying that I wouldn't. Sorry to see Belinda go but I'd say she will be back. Martin just carried on getting ready for his house warming party. I'd have assumed he'd have broken down in tears because without Belinda's rent, they can't afford to pay their landlord this month but nope, despite Martin's continuous concern when she was paying, her sudden departure didn't phase him in the least.

The scene with Jay and Roxy was silly. Would a stall holder in London really hang their handbag from a rail for the day? I'd have thought a stall holder in a small village market would be highly unlikely to do that, let alone a stall holder in London.

Did they have Jay steal again? Ffs

No he attempted to steal from Roxy's handbag which was conveniently left hanging on a rail to the side of the stall. Some clothes fell off the rail when he pulled the bag which alerted her and she stopped him.

Instead he is going to 'work for' the druglords he owes money to to pay off his debt. What would that involve? Dealing drugs? Carrying them around? I presume it is very hard to get out of an 'arrangement' like that if he gets involved but then I suppose he is already involved in them. Perhaps it shows people/viewers how awful that world is but I doubt there are many drug dealers sitting at home watching EE and seeing the error of their ways so what is the point!!!

I have noticed the weak storylines that are happening feel like 'Issue' storylines. I don't like it when they're obvious. It feels a bit patronising. Like when they shoehorned the '4 out of 5 women' fact into the miscarriage story. Think it was Whitney telling Jonny or something. Good to raise awareness (?) I suppose but does it have to be so blunt like one of those down with kids informative programmes they used to play on the Big Telly On Wheels at school.

Sorry, tangent. Point is, we know drugs are bad. Jay's story needs something else adding to it other than a by numbers depiction of a good person spiralling downwards.

After Libby's abortion they fell out for a while. Dunno if it was a dull estrangement. Denise was awful during that storyline. I don't think I would have spoken to my mother again if she behaved that way.

Re time off from uni - deferring a PhD is quite common and not at all frowned on.
