Gifty and Samantha were the two I remembered from the auditions so I'm glad they went through. Also remembered mortgaged-stage-school singer who I was convinced thought she would get through. The third singer I'd put through was the Welsh lass. My husband also said she had the wrong image. She had the best voice of the night, though.

Sometimes I feel I need to reinvent myself. Stop watching this dross.

Trouble is I like a drink on a saturday night and Xfactor appeals to my tiny brain when drinking. Can't cope with much else!
(not a problem, not alcoholic, only drink 1-2 days a week but when I do, I enjoy it!)

Robbie was singing his new single on Graham Norton last night- he is starting to look like a drunk dad at a wedding. Or a Peter Kaye sketch. It was a bit embarrassing. But, he made great use of 'filling the stage with people and props' distraction techniques

I always think that it doesn't matter how good the fat people are, they will never get through as the show just do not know what to do with them.

I wasn't in the UK when the Pop Idol was on so I have no idea what happened then, but it does sound nasty. What became of her?

I really liked Gifty & apart from the first girl (Soheila?) thought Simon had a difficult task as they were all very good.

Talking of Michelle McManus, she was horrible. Nothing to do with her size & everything to do with how she came across on TV, which wasn't flattering or nice at all. I'm surprised to hear she's made a career based on her personality as I don't know anyone who liked her (& we were all students at the time).

I was meant to start ' sober for October ' yesterday too. so now its today, a day late.
see you all tonight for more ' judges houses' in exotic locations, not that I am jealous of such wealth, of course not..( my numbers didn't come up again either..)

Sorry I haven't read the whole thread but came on here to rant after watching the Xtra Factor.
They showed clips of all the second performances from judges houses and Samantha had all her makeup on still and it was still daylight when she performed!!
I know it's fake but they don't even try to hide it anymore

I haven't been following this but had the misfortune to catch a snippet when flicking channels earlier. Recognised that Bradley and Octavio were previously on Coach Trip. What a pair of wannabes !
