I think sometimes the point of X Factor can be lost. It's an entertainment show that generates huge revenues, yet even the biggest fans of the shows must admit the first few weeks of live shows are tediously dull. I think this is why some alternative acts go through to make it varied. I'll still watch it, not as a singing contest but, as Saturday night wallpaper/background noise. Think the final 12 is good this year

MitzyLeFrouf · 03/10/2016 10:38

It's so clear now that the judges have no say who gets through. I knew as soon as Honey G didn't get a chair that she'd be back and then, dramatic pause, make it through to the live shows. Same as those irritating and not entertaining at all Brattavia or whatever they're called.

I liked when the novelty act was someone like Rhydian, someone a bit quirky who could actually sing.

Ah hopefully Christian will be brought back as a wild card. Don't understand why he wasn't put through he's clearly popular going on his YouTube views Confused

WankingMonkey · 03/10/2016 11:13

Every poll I have seen during the auditions has him fave or very near the top, I just cannot understand the decision at all. I seriously hope there are wildcards at this late stage, or maybe something similar to what they did with Chris maloney, where the public get to pick someone to enter the lives. Though I think Janet, Cristian and 4 of diamonds all should have a place tbh

What fresh hell is this?

I looked at the line up for next week and wondered where all the good ones have gone.

I can honestly say I wouldn't have chosen anyone in that line up.

And Honey G? On the basis that folk would remember her? I'm sure folk would remember getting a particularly virulent venereal disease but remembering isn't a reason for having one.

Twogoats · 03/10/2016 13:28

What the fudge will Honey G sing in Abba week? Or big band week?!? Shock

The80sweregreat · 03/10/2016 13:42

Honey might do 'money money money' gangsta style or 'aint that a kick in the head ' ..gangsta style. Makes me wonder if Ricky Gervais is behind this woman somewhere ( on 10 percent of the earnings, of course) ..

Bring back Christian.

I honestly never expected to see G get through to the live shows. I thought it was funny, but, you know, not actually good.

228agreenend · 03/10/2016 17:58

I didn't rate Christian and thought Freddy and the second boy chosen was far better (can't remeber no. 3).

MagicChanges · 04/10/2016 20:15

It's all so predictable but it doesn't stop me watching............I agree Nave it is a show that generates huge revenues, and is "easy watching" on a Sat night. It pisses me off though when they put through the "good tele" folk, Honey G and Bradley and Octavia (and I don't believe that's his name for a single minute - it's probably Keith or Colin.) And I reckon they'd planned the pushing in the pool bit, and then Louis acting like he was dead surprised. Yawn.
