deaconblue · 05/02/2007 08:10

Hurrah! Lovely lovely John Sim is back on my screen. Looks like he might finally get it together with the fab wpc too

lilibet · 05/02/2007 08:26

I think it's so good that this is the last series, it's been wonderful so far but I think to keep it going indefinitley would be a mistke. This way it can go out on a high.

No idea how they are going to end it tho'

thethirdwisemonkey · 05/02/2007 09:33

can't wait, it's about the only thing on tv me and dh both like

Ready · 05/02/2007 15:08

Darn, I have been skyplussing the last couple of episdoes to watch at the weekend. Would have liked to have heard from the writers.

Really looking forward to the new series.

I am a bit partial to John Simm myself

Lucycat · 08/02/2007 12:09

I saw some being filmed - cool cars / people / clothes - well maybe not

we play spot the location!

nikkie · 08/02/2007 19:50

Yay just bookmarked it on Sky!

UnquietDad · 09/02/2007 21:22

seen the 70s-style trailers? They go well with the "Radio Times" mockup this week!

Ready · 10/02/2007 13:20

Loving the trailers!! So excited waiting for the first episode. I don't care if that makes me a saddo ...

Ready · 10/02/2007 13:22

Lucykat, I like playing spot the location too... I always cheer and say "I know where that is!"

Ready · 10/02/2007 13:22

Lucycat, even. Apologies

Pixel · 12/02/2007 23:23

Noooooooo! I've been waiting for this for months and our telly has just given up the ghost. How cruel is that? The day before!

I can't even go and look for a cheap new one tomorrow as the car is in for a service and I've got the kids off for half-term.

Boo .

moosh · 13/02/2007 11:08

Well chuffed its back, can't beat the classic 70's one liners that he says. Brilliant!

ScummyMummy · 13/02/2007 16:41

Me too. It's my birthday and i have had a lovely day off work and wandering around London and eating lunch with partner and now i can watch this and it will have been the perfect day as long as the boys had a nice day at school.

Ready · 13/02/2007 18:31

Ashes to Ashes will be a spin-off, not sure who is going to be starring though??

saintmaybe · 13/02/2007 18:38

I am so looking forward to this, and dp has brought home big cake for me to eat while watching. I love that man!

Happy birthday SM

Simply can't wait.....

As a child of the 70's, AND a big Sweet fan (can still remember all the words to 'Blockbuster')AND being raised in Manchester (yes to location-spotting) AND being a former M/c police officer, this is t.v. heaven, esp. for someone who watches bugger all t.v!!

Did hear a production guy talking about how they re-created the white dog-poo for the pavements - something to do with the dog feed at the time. Interesting .

Once you have all stopped phwoarrrring >, has anyone speculated on what the the final explanations will be on hows and whys in all happened??

southeastastra · 13/02/2007 18:59

bum my mil is here and will talk all the way through it

Pann · 13/02/2007 19:01

push her down some stairs and explain it is a historical re-enactment of police methods at the time......

Crumbs! - I was only joking....

southeastastra · 13/02/2007 19:09

so tempting.

he'll wake up ok and realise he did really go back in time to change the policing methods of the 70s (or something like that), though i still can't work out how he was able to see himself (albeit from behind) argh time travel!!

wasn't dog poo white because of all the bones they ate?
