thelittleElf · 04/02/2007 21:25

I'm a nanny! God i feel sick to the pit of my stomach, that anyone nanny or not would do that to a little one . Been with my family for over 8 yrs and consider the children part of me!

I said to dh I bet during the first commercial break every parent watching ran upstairs to check on their LOs I know I did.

essanel · 04/02/2007 21:59

yip - i know i did as automatically checked monitor and realised i hadn't switched it on - hence running upstairs at breakneck speed to find ds snoring away happy! This is the first time i've watched and i'm hooked - was planning to do my ironing but just told dh have to concentrate on programme

Twiglett · 04/02/2007 22:03

just turned it on .. please can you summarise what's happened so far

Whoooosh · 04/02/2007 22:03

AM in two minds whether to keep watching or not to be honest-did all the checks I possibly could employing both our nannies but I guess if someone is that duplicitous and you are checking someone elses references then....

Gut feel I reckon-I know it's only a TV program but it does make my blood run cold.

Come on guys, keep it real, as Whooosh has pointed out, it is only a TV programme. Have to say, these sort of programmes don't make me run to check my children. Haven't got a Nanny nor ever have, so can't comment on that score.

For those of you that missed, Nanny presumably kills baby by drowning - or did she? To fill people in that missed the start would take some doing, it was quite a complex storyline. What's the general consensus - did she do it or didn't she? She's definately dodgy, that's for sure. What's the deal with the Chinese nanny too? Rachel/Leanne has some sort of hold over her. And Suzanne, the baby's Mum. What's her story? Dodgy? Guilty of anything? What's she been in? That's bugging me. I've never watched T&R before, but thought this one would be interesting, but hoped it wouldn't be too disturbing, and I haven't found it to be. There are some things I just can't watch. Tomorrow's should be interesting. Did my ironing whilst watching this, so more ironing will get done in my house tomorrow. Just about managed to concentrate too.

Crazydazy · 05/02/2007 13:09

Yes should be good tonight after it ended it showed you clips to keep you guessing....unthinkable yes but knowing it could happen worries you far more.

emmatomATO · 05/02/2007 13:15

I know it's only a TV programme but thank lordy I don't have to think about childcare!

The London mummy who interviewed her, you know, Oscars mummy, the one who had a colour coded chart for personal trainer, beautician etc., now that scares me that there are people out there like her who put everything over the care of her child.

It's gripping isn't it!

flatmouse · 05/02/2007 13:17

I'm not sure i think it is the Nanny wot dunnit. Seems "too easy" for the story.

MummyPenguin · 05/02/2007 18:28

I was surprised that the dectectives didn't say anything to her about leaving the baby alone in the house when she went to buy fags.

3andnomore · 05/02/2007 20:43

I watched it for the first time last night, and wow, what a powerful programme....!
Can't wait for tonights programme, must find out who it was in the end...Nanny, Mother, Father, lil boy with Downs???
Although, I am somehow pretty sure it was the nanny. Her behavoiour and she is a bit nuts, insn't she? And if she wasn't guilty, why be so weird with that other Nany, etc....!
MummuPenguin, yup, more ironing to be done in my house, too, tonight...did also iron watching it yesterday, lol

Crazydazy · 05/02/2007 21:39

Think maybe its just a little too obvious to be her somehow.....very intriguing though.

Whoooosh · 05/02/2007 21:50

Not totally convinced it is the nanny-bit too obvious but I sure as hell would not want her for my nanny regardless!

OP posts:
Crazydazy · 05/02/2007 21:53

Think the mum is going to commit suicide as she is quite unstable anyway - its just unimaginable being put through something like that when you are grieving for your child.

Can't see which way it is going to go though at all.

mysonsmummy · 05/02/2007 21:56

there will be a big twist - any ideas??

Crazydazy · 05/02/2007 22:11

Cannot for the life of me think what it is.....the suspense is driving me mad!!!

TLC123 · 05/02/2007 22:14

I bet it is the babies (poppys) dad, I'm probally wrong though, usually am

Crazydazy · 05/02/2007 22:28

How unbelievably PREDICTABLE!!!

No twist at all - still good though.

All Nannies will crappin in their shoes now though won't they?
