We have just watched all 4 series over the past few weeks and now I'm missing it. And I'm so sad! Any fans around to chat? Still can't believe poussey died. God that was sad.

I found it back in July, watched all 4 really quickly & im now rewatching slowly. On S3 right now & the panty business is just getting off the ground.

Love: Red, Nicky, Taystee, Black Cindy, Alex, Caputo & Big Boo. Such great characters!

I cannot wait for S5, I'm going to need to put my life on hold when the series is released!

Back to the thread now I've finished series 4 & oh my god what a brilliant series!!

Even though I read poussey (sp?) died at the beginning of the thread I was not prepared to be so upset. I thought it was going to be by another inmate & not the senseless way it happened.

Can't wait till next year for it to come back but thankfully I'll be watching the walking dead in between.

This series does highlight how pointless and expensive prison is.

Most of the women in there are far from dangerous. A lot of them are incredibly intelligent.

I've often thought prison was pointless. This series proves it.

I loved the first two seasons. Was lukewarm on the third. And then the fourth.. while incredibly well written was just far too dark for me. I didn't enjoy watching it at all. I cannot stand piper or Alex.

I loved the darkness for S4. But I like gritty things.

When I first saw it it was advertised as a comedy though. I haven't laughed though. Where's the comedy?

Next season is going to be good if they're increasing the number of inmates.

Hope Caputo manages to stay on. Couldn't stand Judy king & cant believe how much some of the C.O's managed to get away with.

i hate piper too. as someone else mentioned bennett had another job on something else irl which i think is why he dissapeared mid story really.

i love tastey and her group and red and hers. i actually quite like alex too and loved lolly and her relationship with the counsellor (completely forgotten his name now).

if anyone is missing out empire is worth a catch up on. new season starts on e4 tues too.

I loved Poussey! What a sad ending. It definitely felt darker this time.. I think they needed to go in a different direction from the usual jokiness. I'm glad it wasn't all about Piper too!

Anyway I came on this thread to reccommend another womens prison show which I heard about after finishing series 4 and needed to continue my fix! It's called 'Locked Up' and should still be on 4od, it's Spanish and amazing. It's a bit darker than OITNB but I think I enjoyed it more! I binge watched it in two days.

I'm just almost at the end of S3 & loving it.

I can't watch the Donuts/Doggett scenes though, there's something wry disturbing about those.

Watching Lolly & Alex is fascinating now I know Lolly is just a bit crazy & not trying to kill Alex.

Yeah, I definitely could have done without that mental image being seared into my brain!

In fact, I could have done without the Judy King full stop. I don't think that her presence added anything other than to make Poussey's death even sadder because, unlike many of the women in OITNB, she actually had the prospect of a fresh start when Judy offered her a job.

Pousseys death was so sad, as was Suzanne and Lollys stories of how they ended up in prison. Neither of them should be in there and it was just so sad.

I'd be quite happy for Piper to leave, I read a spoiler before watching that said 'P' died and really hoped it was Piper not Poussey.

I am halfway through series 4, but I knew the spoiler anyway. I think people on my Facebook were talking about it when it was first out.

Series 4 was very dark, I wonder where they'll go next?

Also, I was just thinking last episode I watched, so many of the women are beautiful but in ways you never usually see on TV. It's one really refreshing aspect!

And I just realised Red is Captain Janeway!!
