Just seen the trailer
Cue weeks of theoretical hiding locations pros and cons 😳😂

Bugger missed the girls getting caught what happened?

annandale · 27/10/2016 21:56

Agree curbside, I feel annoyed with the whole setup, but why would they care, I'm still watching Angry

annandale · 27/10/2016 21:57

A snitch grassed them up and they picked up the trail. Still took them 2 goes to get them though.

Twatty · 27/10/2016 21:57

Its such bollocks..........

If they make another I won't bother watching it.

228agreenend · 27/10/2016 22:00

The hunters have been let out of the office!

graphista · 27/10/2016 22:00

Has nick done it?! I hope so!!

graphista · 27/10/2016 22:01

Who the fuck snitched?

CurbsideProphet · 27/10/2016 22:01

If Nick hadn't won I would have been furious, considering the work that the "fugitives" had to go to, while the hunters just relied on people snitching.

graphista · 27/10/2016 22:01

And ayo! ?

graphista · 27/10/2016 22:03

Did madu snitch/consider snitching?

annandale · 27/10/2016 22:03

Just random members of the public ringing in for £200.

Has certainly put me off ever ringing Crimewatch.

CurbsideProphet · 27/10/2016 22:04

Ayo made it. Madu was offered £1000 but turned it down. I thought Ayo was bloody lucky, considering the number of phone calls he made etc!

annandale · 27/10/2016 22:07

The hunters aren't very good actors.

Still don't know if it was less set up in the first series or just better acted.

DesolateWaist · 27/10/2016 22:17

So glad that Nick made it.
The attitude of one of the female hunters towards him really fucked me off.
She said, with utter incredulity, 'he's been a stay at home dad. He's effectively been raising his children.'
Yes, he has been raising his children. Just being male doesn't me he can't be an at home parent and actually raise children.

CurbsideProphet · 27/10/2016 22:25

Totally agree Desolate their attitude towards him being a stay at home parent , even if scripted, was awful.

PikachuSayBoo · 27/10/2016 22:36

So glad Nick and Ayo made it. Was so set up though. Agree thag how on earth would they have otherwise known that it was that specific boat?

Gutted the girls got caught and again I think they'd been tipped off by the camera person that they were heading for that service station across those fields. They found a drone pilot suspiciously quickly who just happened to search the right area of trees? Don't think so.

Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 27/10/2016 22:46

There's a lot of editing, I would like to see a "how they make it" programme. Them reasoning that the girls would go to the services was based on what they had done previously, they had form for hitching lifts at services, they should have mixed it up a bit. But fair play to Maureen the pensioner, she did her bit!

annandale · 27/10/2016 22:48

The only person I know who's been on a reality TV programme basically constructed an entire persona before applying, so that she'd have a 'story' they could cast.

JosephineMaynard · 27/10/2016 23:16

They seemed to work out the extraction point and escape boat remarkably easily, given that all they had to go on was figuring out that Ayo was somewhere in that vicinity.

There must be loads of boats, jettys, airfields and so on near there. And they throw everything they've got st that one specific boat? Yeah, that's not rigged at all Hmm

RTKangaMummy · 27/10/2016 23:46

Yes although it was all pretend

We in our house were all really chuffed that Nick won

Totally loved the couple in Tunbridge wells that helped him with disguise

And the elderly get away driver was totally brilliant

MyWineTime · 29/10/2016 22:08

Oh what a huge contrived pile of utter shit.
They really must think that the audience are stupid.

The girls just happened to be listening to the radio to hear the broadcast of the hunters looking for them.
The hunters worked out the exact boat - how exactly? They didn't even have a shortlist, they had narrowed it down to 1.
The less said about the drone, the better.

I am gutted they set the girls up to get caught but pleased that they let Nick and Ayo win.

There is no way I am watching it next time round, it was infuriating this time.

PikachuSayBoo · 29/10/2016 22:52

I think Maureen was an actress.

SymphonyofShadows · 01/11/2016 12:52

Was anyone aware of the social media campaign to catch them when the program was being made? I've never seen anything about it and I doubt there were many people who could have identified them. Such a set-up. Glad Nick made it though

DesolateWaist · 01/11/2016 13:00

I didn't see anything and I watched the first series so I would have noticed.

JosephineMaynard · 01/11/2016 13:16

I had a nosy on FB and had a look at what looked like the official Hunted HQ page. Scroll backwards and there's nothing showing on that about "help us catch the fugitives" at any time it could have been filmed. Couldn't see anything scrolling backwards on Twitter either.

It could just be that I'm not looking properly, or that they deleted social media stuff to avoid any spoilers for the TV series once filming was finished.

But it does add to the impression that any "social media campaign " was deliberately targeted at people known to have encountered the fugitives.
Let's face it, they've had production crews and cameras following them around at least some of the time. It'd be easy enough for one of them to point people in the direction of how to turn the fugitives into the hunters for a reward.
