Come back Tom.
Am munching my own freshly baked banana and hazlenut loaf to keep me going

MiddleClassProblem · 28/09/2016 20:36

They taste like sweet goo like that or the ones you bake can just taste like sugar

fourquenelles · 28/09/2016 20:36

Bloody those are works of art! Gorgeous.

they go easy on Candice I think. Her meringue was awful looking, and they always discount things with her and overlook the bad.

MiddleClassProblem · 28/09/2016 20:36

BB, those looks amazing!

Roussette · 28/09/2016 20:36

I think her mouth is now shaped like that from permanent pouting.

God, purple that bread looks delicious. I must try it. I've done focaccia but not this

MiddleClassProblem · 28/09/2016 20:37

Love a banana bread

TheSpottedZebra · 28/09/2016 20:37

booky I use Richard Bertinet's recipe, which is handily www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrink/recipes/8030829/Fougasse-bread-recipe-by-Richard-Bertinet.html

But it's just just a basic bread dough, baked crisp, and you can vary the herbage.
If you've not seem it, I really really recommend his book Dough, which features fougasse. And he also has 'Crust' which is also fab, and one on pastry i think, but I don't have the latter.

TheLegendOfBeans · 28/09/2016 20:37

Tom may be clinically insane but he's awesome at bread

GrouchyKiwi · 28/09/2016 20:37

Those cakes are so beautiful, Bloody!

Am pleased this is an actual, proper showstopper challenge.

RebootYourEngine · 28/09/2016 20:38

Wow bloody are those really cakes? They look gorgeous.

bookbook · 28/09/2016 20:38

thank you Spotted - know what I will be trying this week :)

MiddleClassProblem · 28/09/2016 20:38

Yes, ready for proper fancy decorations

GrouchyKiwi · 28/09/2016 20:38

Raahh I'd have thought that the tennis cake was right up your street. Wink

Roussette · 28/09/2016 20:39

bloody those cakes look wonderful!

I also think they go easy on Candice, they only play up positives when there are negatives sometimes

bookbook · 28/09/2016 20:39

Looking forward to these

Raahh · 28/09/2016 20:39

I have hope this is more show stoppery not a word this week.
I have been disappointed in previous weeks, the show stoppers have just been extra signature bits.

I like the sound of Rav's. But I love almonds.

fourquenelles · 28/09/2016 20:39

I thought Mary was very anti anything that wasn't edible on cakes etc or was I dreaming?

Come on Selasi! Be a good 'un

GrouchyKiwi · 28/09/2016 20:40

Legend Grin

Crushed chamomile flowers in cake? GAH.

TheSpottedZebra · 28/09/2016 20:40

I am not mad about floral flavours in foods. So these will just be 7 ruined cakes for me.

bookbook · 28/09/2016 20:40

tea - oh dear...

RebootYourEngine · 28/09/2016 20:40

These are the kind of showstoppers that i like.

Raahh · 28/09/2016 20:41

Grouchy- it really have been, shouldn't it??Grin.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 28/09/2016 20:41

I don't think all these layers will go together.
