Agree that it was Val's time to go, though Tom was jolly lucky. PH is very fond of Candice. Thought Jane's filo things looked delicious, even if the cones were too big. Also recall Mary Berry talking about filo being far too much of a faff to make so find it a bit rich the contestants were expected to do it.

I think next week's episode looks brilliant.

I remember Mary Berry saying that about filo too, but presumably she can do it, but doesn't need to. Its a test of skill. I can make flaky Paratha's because my mum taught me. I can't be arsed to do them so I get my mum to make them buy them from tescos.

My DS' will never eat to the bottom of his weetabix so I just thought of that brown sludge that looks and tastes disgusting. I think Tom's been weak for a while but has slipped under the radar due to others have g epic disasters!

I see Cherish Finder is being considered for the C4 version. We had afternoon tea at the Langham last week and the cakes were amazing. She was there, she popped in to the restaurant to talk to the Maitre d' so we gawped

Had to google her but caught a few eps of creme de la creme so know who she is from that. Does that mean it will be looking for more refined bakes than home bakes?

That will pretty much guarantee I won't be watching. She may make amazing cakes but I don't think she makes amazing telly. Couldn't stand her on creme de la creme. Actually, I couldn't stand any of them on creme de la creme!

If these rumours about Cherish Finden and the Chuckle Brothers have any element of truth, someone's lost their mind.

I'd love to see the chuckle brothers on GBBO. I'd also love a very handsome, young, male co-judge. Paul thinks he's the bollocks. Time he got put in his place.

I've been away and although I've seen just about all the episodes on catch up, it's not the same without a good ole GBBO thread, so am looking forward to tomorrow night!

Ok I baked with the toddler for eat along this week as wtf is floral week? I hope the rest of the series I can just buy fancy cakes from M&S. I'm due a chocolate eclair! Or at least a pie! Now I think about it, I've never had key lime pie but I have had a line milkshake... And that's my train of thought choo chooing away. Good luck comprehending me tonight!
