Lots of missing names from the top players- but we are edging towards the US open- without Federer- and who knows, maybe even without Djokovic.

Could we be heading for all change at the top?

I'm trying to finish a project for a deadline tomorrow, but have the tennis on in the background. Ken was there at 6-2, 5-2, and now they're playing a tiebreak.

It must be heartbreaking to be a Ken fan, really.

poor ken. He is my 2nd least favourite player, after Murray, but I don't like booing.

(Usually it is Rafa getting booed- but the Brazilians are very fond of the Spanish team).

i'm currently enthralled by the men's gymnastics. max Whitlock now has 2 individual golds. Pretty unbelievable. Louis Smith got the silver on pommel horse. Very special.

I'm using the NBC Olympics app, in the US. I think the BBC has something similar, where you can choose to watch anything that's streaming live.

Oh dear 3-1 Ken in the third set. And Rafa has had a little squabble with Carlos. I don't know what about.

Argh .Vamos rafa. it was also in a Rio Open match that Rafa had his spat with carlos, that lead to him not wanting him to referee his matches. I do think Barnardes is biased against him. and can be very unprofessional.

Rafa has played a lot in the last week, considering his injury, so it's not surprising he is flagging. But I would love him to beat Nish.

What is Rafa unhappy about now? He was talking to someone senior to Carlos just then.
