Andy Murray still in the Olympic Singles, as is Rafa,

Jo Konta through for the women.

Lots of missing names from the top players- but we are edging towards the US open- without Federer- and who knows, maybe even without Djokovic.

Could we be heading for all change at the top?

Lawks that was a tough watch, but Murray finally pulled himself together a foggi tucked off.
I might have to watch konta v Kerber tomorrow as dh wants to spend time with me

I've just been watching Charlotte Dujardin and get horse dancing. It amazes me how they do that. I'm trying g to train the dog.

Is it just me or do the continuity announcers in Rio sound like they were supplied by the Sirius cybernetics corporation? I am waiting for Marvin the paranoid android.

Rafa through in the doubles as well- hope he wins with Muguruza in the mixed too. Three very different matches in one day is tough, though. Even if his wrist is still not 100%, it's got to be good for his confidence to be playing so well. He probably won't be in Cincinatti , but will hopefully be at the US.

Heather and Andy are playing on the red button now, as are Jamie and Johanna.

I HATE THE RED BUTTON!!

During Wimbledon, on my tv tivo thingy (virgin) I could get red button channels on 'proper' channels. Not so now. Apparently things need re-tuning or something. Either way, the red button is pants, takes too long to load, is not user friendly, and NEVER BLOODY WORKS ANYWAY!!

Aww, shame about Jamie and Jo, but happy for Heather. I think she was quite hurt at being overlooked in London, in favour of Robson.

I love Heather, she looks so sweet and talks so posh- then swears like a docker,it's an endearing combo.

I have always much preferred her to Robson (she seems a bit high maintenance, and goes through coaches like Bouchard). And yy, she always seems to enjoy herself, and calls a spade a spade.

I don't know what happened my red button, it just disappeared. So annoying!

My red button is very hit and miss too; on the old portable in my room I only ever get 1 or 2 options all of them seemingly rugby or boxing.

On the big telly, which has internet through the digibox sometimes I have a clunky interface with loads of pictures at other times a nice menu in the corner!?
Mostly I just look at channels 601-605 as that's the easiest way.

why isn't Heather playing mixed with Jamie? thought shed be 1st choice after her Wimby win.

At leats serena shockingly didn't make an excuse this time and said at least she got to Rio.

I think Jo outranked Heather, as she has a higher singles ranking.

The planner/tv listings put roughly what time matches are on but theyre always wrong.

Missing it though as Dc watching fifth gear! got to let her have her way as shes car mad (and autistic! so got to work round her stuff otherwise shell have a meltdown, its an obsession with her) she loves tennis too but cars are her 2nd love (after mum of course .

Rafa is guaranteed a silver in the doubles- fingers crossed for the singles. Vamos Probably the right call not to do Mixed doubles as well, with his wrist as it is. sad for Muguruza though.

Rafa lost the first set to Belluci- nice of him to give the home player a set, but VAMOS !

I would not be surprised if he ran out of steam now though- after 2 months out, he's played a lot this week.

I'm watching it on the red button. The crowd are very noisy and obviously biased, but the umpire isn't doing much about it. I think it really got to Rafa, as he looked very out-of-sorts in the 1st set.

Creme- watching the Murray match earlier, the umpire had to keep telling people to keep still and stop making a noise.

It reminds me of a bunfighty thread during the London Olympics- when a crying baby disrupted the Del Potro/Federer match (and I really think cost Delpo the match) . So many posters thought it was totally acceptable, because why shouldn't the baby experience the Olympics too.?! It's almost like, because it's the Olympics the normal rules of common sense and keeping quiet at crucial moments don't apply.

The Brazilians are very vocal in all the sports when one of theirs is playing though.

I've only heard the umpire asking the crowd to bensure quiet once this whole match, Raah. Normally, I find the Brazilians' enthusiastic support endearing, but the crowd have been too much this match. But Rafa is 4/1 up in the 2nd, so not all is lost.
