before my phone decides to give up altogether, here's a new thread to get us on our way.

Andy Murray still in the Olympic Singles, as is Rafa,

Jo Konta through for the women.

Lots of missing names from the top players- but we are edging towards the US open- without Federer- and who knows, maybe even without Djokovic.

Could we be heading for all change at the top?

I don't usually watch much Davis Cup, because I can't be doing with the Murray -fest. But I am making an exception, because Delpo is playing today. I hope he's on good form. It's far from an easy match up. Leon Smith has just ackowledged that Delpo's ranking gives a false sense of security, in that he is a far better player than his ranking would suggest. So I disagree with John Lloyd, who is assuming this match is in the bag. At least, I hope it isn't.

Oh grief, 2 minutes in, and i'm already fed up with the crowd chanting. . I like my tennis quiet. .

Scottish crowd in excellent singing voice though, which is nice.

I've also been really enjoying the wheelchair tennis at the Paralympics- shame that Reid and Hewett couldn't repeat Wimbledon, but a silver is great.They are both so young- they have many Olympics ahead of them, I think. And they play each other in the singles, too.

Am also following Spain versus India in their Davis Cup, unlikely to be able to find anywhere showing it, I imagine.

Funny- because when Murray was 30-0 up, you'd have sworn he had already won the match from the way the commentators reacted.

9 minutes for the first game. Bloody hell. This could be the longest match in Davis Cup history

It's all very nervy, and tense, and it's only 4 games in.

I have to watch Doctors go out to pick the dc up soon. This will still be going strong when I get back, I'm sure!

Oh pants, Rafa isn't playing the opening Spain/ India match. That's disappointing.

Missing the middle of Delpo/Murray, school run, but it's certainly a close match.

This is a brilliant match and- I'm prepared to be flamed here- is a higher level than most of the matches Murray had to play on the run up to winning Davis cup last year. I mean- who would have put bets on Belgium in the final??

What's up with Moaning Muzzer? He does this deliberately I swear to try to rattle his opponent. Didn't work with Nishikori, though, hopefully it won't work on Juan.

This is incredible. Standard of play is still great, after such a long time. 4 hours and 47 minutes and not over yet!

And Spain are 2-0 against India, so moving in the right direction to get back into the world group.

And we are still winning medals at the Paramedics.

Fantastic match and lovely to se del potro playing so well. Would have preferred Murray to win though!

I'm hoping he'll play tomorrow as I have tickets and I'm taking the kids, so they're desperate to see AM.

I was on my phone and must have corrected paralympics I don't know how many times .

Unless Delpo play in the doubles, or reverse rubbers, I'm not fussed by the rest of it. After today's match, it might be a big ask for Murray to play doubles as well. It wasn't just a long match, but a really tough one too, mentally, as it's only the 3rd DC singles match he has lost. Not sure who Jamie would pair up with instead.

Kyle has won a first set in the tie break, very close one.

Looking forward to Reid /Hewitt at the Paramediclympics.

Paragliding news- Gordon Reid has won gold in the singles, Alfie obviously got the silver.

Poor Kyle. He started off so well.

I wish gordon and alfie had been able to win the doubles, then they would both have a gold. Alfie looked a little dejected. But at 18, I can see him coming back strong.

So excited, just watching the Murray brothers, del potro and Mayer warming up. Del Potro is feeling huge!!!!!

Was just thinking about you Trixy- I am quite jealous!
