Fern and Phil are the best interviewers. They are gentle but firm and ask the right questions.

Danielle is irritating in the extreme. Soooo apologetic but now saying she was badly edited

Just own up and shut up

Kaloo20 · 30/01/2007 11:40

I heard the news headlines as I was getting out of the car (yes, I was running late) and it was from Jo's GMTV interview. She was sobbing and saying she couldn't go home because of death threats and her parents are disgusted with her behaviour.

IMHO Jade handled this best. Did her interviews and disappeared from view. Jo deserves this - she didn't apologise. Danielle, well she's lost her cash cow (Teddy) and now she can f* off home ... back to whether she came from and lick her woulds. Silly Silly Girl

LieselVentouse · 30/01/2007 11:41

Jade I couldnt give a stuff about but Jo went on that programme initially case her house was going to be re-possessed. Now she cant return to her home because she is receiving death threats. IMHO this is a bit much for taking the piss out of someones voice.

Birthdaybeetroot · 30/01/2007 11:41

Clarkson called Jade Goody something like a racist bunch of wasted skin and organs!

Jo's interview is here but I can't get it to play!

NadineBaggott · 30/01/2007 11:43

I bet Jo won't be performing at G.A.Y. next month!

LieselVentouse · 30/01/2007 11:57

Thats a very clever name and its ringing a bell - is that from an advert Nadine?

figleaf · 30/01/2007 12:56

I`ve just got the clip to play SHPHH. Very sad indeed . I felt really sorry for her. The full weight of the tabloids seems to be hitting her and leaving Danielle be. I think BB should be supporting Jo if that is a true reflection of her mental state.

vnmum · 30/01/2007 13:04

i saw the gmtv interview, jo does seem to be mentally disturbed by it all and was saying that she had no support from BB and that she was edited badly on BB and misquoted in the tabloids. if it was a true reflection of her mantal state then i would be very worried about her.

she did come across badly on BB and as for danielle she was an immature annoying gold digger in my opinion and quite frankly i dont blame teddy for splitting with her as i think she showed how immature she was on the show.

im not saying that how they are being treated now they are out is ok, its not, but on the other hand they would have known about bad editing etc on BB before they went in. they knew the cameras were recording 24/7 and that you cant get away with anything

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 30/01/2007 13:07

Yes, seen it now. I am not without pity and I can and did watch that clip and feel sorry for her, BUT did you notice the complete absence of the word sorry.. and the fact that she still denies that she bullied Shilpa? She really needs to recognised that whether she intended to be part of any bullying or not (I seriously doubt she did!), she was part of it..and she IS responsible for those things she said and did and it is not because of 'clever editing' or unfair portrayal that we now all have this impression of her.

She said she was 'put in there as a guinea pig'..when we all know she put herself in there. Money worries aside, she CHOSE to put herself in there and then CHOSE (consciously or not) to behave in that way for a sustained period of time with apparently no second thoughts, until now, when she has no choose but to ackolwledge the enormity of the situation and the repercussions of her actions. She is basically feeling sorry for herself and I don't blame her for that.. she is paying a HUGE price, but for what was actually a HUGE mistake that she carried on and on with whilst in the house.

I don't think she is acting the victim; she has actually got herself into a mindset where she IS one.. she is playing the part very well; she looks as if she needs psychiatric support and indeed no doubt does. I do pity her. But we mustn't forget that she did this to herself. How many of us would have gone on TV and done and said those things?

figleaf · 30/01/2007 13:10

Not that BB would want me but I`d not go on there for any amount of cash.

Itcouldhavebeenbeetroot · 30/01/2007 13:13

fuck she is ina bad way

NadineBaggott · 30/01/2007 13:17

Do you think so beetroot?

I'm not so sure. Obviously she's very upset, who wouldn't be. Call me cynical but I don't think I believe she's had death threats, I mean, come on!

As Shiny says until she owns up to her actions she's going to get a negative response.

She's also lying. She says in the interview the BB have more or less left her to it, but following the interview, back in the studio they stated that Jo's own agent has said that BB's psychiatrists are looking after her.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 30/01/2007 13:22

Yes I thought that too re BB support.. she whined.. "No.. not really..." which I think was more to do with how she is feeling than is really the case. BB HAVE to offer/provide psycholgical support. I am also not totally sure about the rocking. Fiona picked up on it at the beginning of the interview and it seems that Jo just did it all the more.

She also did herself such a disservice when she insisted more than once during the interview with Davina, that she went in there to show the world what she is really like and that she thinks she did that! How unfortunate. If she is now insisting that what we saw, day in and day out, was NOT the real Jo OMeara, that is NOT that person, then she needs to cut her losses.. apologise profusely and hold her hands up to her part in this (even Jade has done this!) and then get herself quickly out of the limelight where the press can't find her and where she can start to put this nightmare behind her.

Earlybird · 30/01/2007 13:22

Jo hasn't apologised for her part in anything that happened, as she has said repeatedly (in the diary room and out of the house) that she doesn't think she did anything wrong. She also said in the house, and when she came out, that she was completely herself while there. It must be deeply shocking to realise that 'being yourself' is abhorrent to such a large section of the public.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 30/01/2007 13:27

Ah but Earlybird, she was misinterpretted" and taken out of context don't you realise! And she was never laughing at Shilpa or bullying her... she was laughing at what the house does to people.. sends them mad... like this^ [cue rocking motion].

She is contiuing to make big mistakes. Somebody should be advising her surely. I suppose she has no agent. Perhaps I am being cyncial but maybe that's why Jade managed to make the 'best' of a bad sitaution and behave as appropriately as possible under the circs, before retreating to the Priory obviously!

But ah, if only we could all bugger off to the Priory when we are stressed as hell (and due to circs NOT of our own making! ). We just have to soldier on!!

Earlybird · 30/01/2007 13:51

She doesn't seem to grasp that in context or out of context, the things she said were dreadful. And the fact is, she did say them - editing played no part in that. She seems incapable of accepting any responsibility for the consequences of her words/actions.

LieselVentouse · 30/01/2007 14:15

As someone said the taboiuds seem to be getting just at her - Jack got off scot-free and he's the one that called her a c and a p

Caligula · 30/01/2007 14:26

I remember Nigel Benn's interview after I'm a celebrity, when he said quite frankly that he'd been an arsehole. Christine whateverhernameis said to him soothingly "but they did edit it that way" and he said something along the lines of "if I hadn't said the things I did and acted the way I did, it wouldn't have been there to edit."

My estimation of him went right up after that. It's what's singularly lacking here - some insight that although BB may well have been unfair and made her look far worse than she is, she gave them enough material to be able to do that to her.

LIZS · 30/01/2007 14:58

Caught part of Jo's interveiw on the news. She feels like she was in a fish tank - er, yes, isn't that what BB is all about, 24 hour scrutiny ? Even on the live streaming she said and behaved the same and looked bad. While I feel pity for her emotional state having been portrayed as so shallow and unrepentant that was her risk in choosing to do the show in the first place. After all she could have actually got a job to pay the mortgage instead !

skay · 30/01/2007 19:29

Has Shilpa done any interviews?
would be nice to hear what she's got to say.
Or has she gone back to Mumbai?

Earlybird · 31/01/2007 11:16

Saw Shilpa on the front of today's Mirror as I walked past the news agent, but no idea what she's got to say about the situation now that she knows the extent of what happened.

IncognitoForThis · 31/01/2007 16:11

Shilpa is being very nice about the whole thing; said she felt very sorry for Jo after seeing the state she was in on GMTV and that she is really glad that Jade is in rehab; thinks she is doing it for her boys, not for the publicity. She said "I know that much about Jade!"

Shilpa is lovely.

DH is making a Shilpa curry for tea; the recipe's in the Mirror
