Singer Anastasia confirmed as the next contestant the morning.

Tbh I'm a bit bored by these reveals now. Maybe it's coz I have no interest in Anastasia and she's pushed me over the edge, or I'd just prefer for them to do one big reveal on the day when they are matched with their pro dancers.

Or maybe because I know they won't be able to top Will Young ;)
Unless they've signed up Hugh Jackman or Matt Damon or someone equally dreamy!

Agree about being bored by the reveals. It's trying to make more of the celebrities than they actually are, iyswim. As you say, if they were revealing proper A List celebs with real wow factor it would be different, but as it is, most of the time I'm "Who?"

I have heard the name Anastasia but could not tell you one single song she has done...

Anastasia was huge in the early 2000's. I'm Outta Love, One Day in Your Life, Left Outside Alone. Huge, huge hits, both in the charts and on the radio. I'm a bit stumped that some people don't remember her or her music?

Anastasia survived cancer some years ago. If she turns up looking strong and fabulous (which she doubtless will) she could bring comfort to viewers who are going through similar.

Anastatsia is one of the biggest names they've had. Not a fan, as such, but know her big songs.

Missed Naga being announced, I really like her & she's very competitive so she could be good fun to watch. Louise Redknapp bores me rigid. I'm sure she's very nice but she's got the sum total of naff all personality wise.

I like Anastacia as a singer, time will tell if I like her on Strictly!

Claudia Frangapane is a brilliant signing. Never understood why they didn't get Beth Tweddle on Strictly.

Claudia is 4'6" tall. I wonder if she'll be the smallest ever celeb. Also, Louis Smith= a hard gymnastic act to follow.
