Ha Pan - I also do the office sweepie and I also picked Danny (and the utterly edible Oti), so I'm feeling pretty good! I've always managed to do a Kevin (dodge the totally hopeless) so was sure I was due a duffer but am quietly hopeful < that would look so much better as a Glitterball!

Trouble is that I am also boss/team leader...and I always seem to win.....even worse was last year I came second and my line manager won......FIX!!

Tameka and Gorka doing their week one dance is a departure.

ooh Ore and Jo's should be good as well, even if slightly too fast for my liking.

I miss the days when they only did 2 styles of dance so you copied really compare. And week 1 jives are always disappointing

I watched the First Steps and liked the look of Anastacia and Brendan, which surprised me - I've never been a big fan of his.

I worry that Will and Karen are going to get on my nerves - WTF was that clinging thing she was doing at the launch show? But then I do find it very hard to warm to Team Clifton.

Georgia's week one jive was good, would have liked them to have repeated it in the final thinking about it.

Two from DWTS, week one and two respectively (no lifts for Jennifer due to health reasons)

I liked his reaction to her being a limpet. I like him a lot actually.
Someone saw him in concert singing the song he is tangoing to so think it was one of his song choices, which is nice.
Anastacia comes across very well, hope she's in it for a while.

We have a booby prize in our sweep, for the person who drew the couple who are first to go. Seems a kind thing to do.....

I don't think they usually vote anyone out on the first week do they? I seem to remember they are all lovely and encouraging with a few warnings to buck their ideas up for next week.

The judges are nice and the dancers are told to buck their ideas up.

The Strictly Pointless is tomorrow...

Before it gets going, I'm now throwing in my perennial moan about also wanting to go back to 2 dances a week so you learn more about the structure of the dances.

What's important, what's not. More training footage, fewer daft pointless VTs up towers/down mines/round & round on rollercoasters.

Now that's off my chest, let the glitterball shine & spin

My moan is that we must wait until 9pm tonight and then it lasts only an hour.

Really looking forward to IT2 every weekday evening at 6.30 with Zoe.

Just watching the "First Steps" on iPlayer. Ed Balls looks truly terrible.

Just watching The one Show and apparently one celebrity from tonight is so good in rehearsals it's hard to tell who the pro is and who the celeb is.

I do hope we don't have another Jay type who runs away with it this year.
