Strictly Come Dancing 2016!

Seems like the BBC are starting to announce the celebrities taking part this year - and Angelica Bell (children's TV presenter) is the first name. I got that info from Twitter rather than an official BBC source so I don't know how true it is!

No announcement yet on the pro dancers, but there were a handful who announced at the end of last series they weren't coming back - Ola, the girl who danced with Jay and the Irish pro. (I forget their names as soon as the series end!)

It was his 50th on 20th July - maybe I'm just being mean!

Oh Moonrise It was fantastic !!!!! I wish SCD was always like it!!!! The costumes were amazing esp in the tango; Joanne's dress and Giovanni's outfit (her gloves and his matching tie!!) God can she dance too. I recorded it too . The orchestra !! Blimey I wish I'd been there

I really enjoyed it. Wish they had a bit of a bigger stage to really do it justice. Thought Joanne and Giovanni were really good. Hope she gets a good partner this year after being left out last year.

I must say, Katie Derham and Alijaz went very well together - made me wonder whether she'd have got even further with him as a partner instead of Anton.

Maybe they had a lot of time to practice. She was quite wooden on SCD. I missed her dance on last night's.

Watched some old SCD episodes on YouTube today. Got me thinking who is my fave winner? Tbh I haven't watched every series but the ones that stick out for me are: Jill Halfpenny and Darren, Kara Tointon & Artem, Mark Ramprakash and Karen Hardy, Abby and Alijaz, Colin Jackson and Erin Boag, Georgia May Foote and Giovanni - ok I know the last two couples didn't win but they deserved to in my eyes :)

See that Neil Jones has finally made it on the line-up after being involved in the choreography and group dances for a few years now. And is one of the new pros announced last month his wife?

Does anyone know if all the celebs have been chosen yet sand who they are? Those new pros all look cute.

Celebs have been chosen but not announced yet. They won't be announced until the end of August apparently.

There has been a post on Digital Spy about a bunch of random celebs who are following a Strictly producer on twitter.

Names include, Louise Rednapp, Hannah Speritt, James Anderson, John Virgo, Martin Roberts and Amanda Mealing.

These names would make a lot of sense based on the type of roles strictly likes to cast celebs in.

Mel C is rumoured as well.

According to the papers and Twitter, Ed Balls (politician) has signed up for SCD!

Perhaps Ed thinks that he'll be as popular as Ann W was. I can't see it though.

Louise Redknapp and Amanda Mealing will keep the dads happy.

I was wondering whether any of the recent Corrie departees would be signing up. Ryan Jones, Alison King, Paula Lane. Although the latter has a very young baby I think.

I need now to google James Anderson and Martin Roberts!

I think the actor who played Jason Grimshaw might be on. I haven't read that anywhere, am just making my own assumptions!

I don't watch Corrie ,now, I know who played Jason though! I don't know the actor's name.

Who's Amanda Mealing?

Amanda Mealing is the consultant in Casualty. I must say I find the character incredibly irritating, so perhaps it's an opportunity for her to redeem herself.
