Seems like the BBC are starting to announce the celebrities taking part this year - and Angelica Bell (children's TV presenter) is the first name. I got that info from Twitter rather than an official BBC source so I don't know how true it is!

No announcement yet on the pro dancers, but there were a handful who announced at the end of last series they weren't coming back - Ola, the girl who danced with Jay and the Irish pro. (I forget their names as soon as the series end!)

I'm glad that Aljaz is back and Giovanni. I'm also glad that Karen Clifton has got a partner this year. I found her too irritating on Zoe's show.

And Natalie I like her.

I will miss Gleb. And Aliona - but loved Aliona and Jay SO much that in a way I am glad that she's gone out on such a high.

Not looking forward to the Clifton juggernaut powering on: not a fan of Joanne at all(Lemon - did you mean Joanne rather than Karen? Karen had a partner last year). Kevin is tolerable - except when he's with Kellie Bright which was just Too Much as a pairing. Karen is the most likeable of the bunch - I thought she was great with Jeremy last year!

The woman who plays Kim on Eastenders is really keen to take part. She would be fun, I think.

I like both Cliftons it's good that they are 'ours' IYSWIM and Joanne is an amazing ballroom teacher , she was on TT2 last year; her explanations of how to do the steps was better than the teacher who is regularly on there (Karen Hardy?).

I found that really interesting. Once they have the celebs they can then see what pros they need and I think they factor is the height of the celeb, but I wonder what else they base their partnering decisions on.

It makes sense though. He also mentioned that although he's not fully engaged in producing the programme, he thinks that change in it is good.

One of the Van Tulleken twin Drs was neither confirming nor denying that he and his brother would be doing Strictly this year on twitter earlier in the week. Twins would be interesting, and they could make it like a scientific experiment and make a BBC2 prog about it for next year
