Just saw a lovely trailer, it starts on 26th May. Can't wait

dilite, they're not too difficult, it's the threading that's daunting!

SoupDragon · 23/05/2016 21:22

Ghislane has had a nightmare!

Jellykat · 23/05/2016 21:22

and theres plenty of step by step threading instructions on You Tube for that one..

MrsLogicFromViz · 23/05/2016 21:22

Gusset, Gusset, Gusset ...

dillite · 23/05/2016 21:25

They must really hate them! All those slippery fabrics.

Haggisfish · 23/05/2016 21:26

Wtf is Tracey wearing?! Cannot imagine the fiddliness of sewing a baby gro!

SoupDragon · 23/05/2016 21:27

At least some of them aren't making dresses.

Jellykat · 23/05/2016 21:28

Don't like Jamie, he's too sure of himself

MrsLogicFromViz · 23/05/2016 21:29

Tracey has a fine selection of Home-made tunics.

HalsallRedux · 23/05/2016 21:30

That gilet's a bit.......um, minimal.....

dillite · 23/05/2016 21:30

To be honest I would have made a dress as well. In the time given better safe and finished than out there and unfinished.

dillite · 23/05/2016 21:31

Isn't Tracey wearing the same tunic all of the time?

SoupDragon · 23/05/2016 21:31

I get the feeling that this lot aren't as good as previous years.
Or am I more critical?

dillite · 23/05/2016 21:36

I think you are right SoupDragon. Although it does mean that the best sewer isn't the same person all of the time.

Haggisfish · 23/05/2016 21:37

I thought Tracey's tunic was especially childreny tonight! Fair play to them making that baby gro.

HalsallRedux · 23/05/2016 21:37

Soup, yes, there certainly isn't anyone like Anne, who'd been sewing for 40-50 years and could do pretty much anything - or the lovely Welsh lady (can't recall her name, sorry), or a few others who'd sewn for years and were super-skilled. Maybe the programme-makers thought they wanted a more level - ie less experienced all round - playing-field?

SoupDragon · 23/05/2016 21:38

What child would wear a tweed wooden cape?

dillite · 23/05/2016 21:39

One that lives in a forest?

SoupDragon · 23/05/2016 21:40

I just get the feeling that even the "duffers" from previous years would shine.

I still love it!

dillite · 23/05/2016 21:41

It looks like Gislaine might be the one to leave this week.

SoupDragon · 23/05/2016 21:42

One that lives in a forest, has a woodcutter for a father and a spectacularly hairy grandmother!

Coldtoeswarmheart · 23/05/2016 21:42

DH still going on about Edna Mole, shouting "no capes" and laughing at his own joke. I should have insisted he went to the pub.

dillite · 23/05/2016 21:43

At least your DH is having fun, Cold.

SoupDragon · 23/05/2016 21:46

I had a surreptitious snigger at "no capes"

Coldtoeswarmheart · 23/05/2016 21:46

Yes, bless him.

I like the look of the pink cape with applique, DD would be very pleased if I made something like it for her.
