Joe and Peter had alcoholic parents, IIRC.

RJnomore1 · 24/04/2016 21:53

Perrier! He bought Perrier.

Poor bloke. Young good looking obviously bright from his work history and shackled to an addiction like that. Sounds like his mum was too.

expatinscotland · 24/04/2016 21:54

Aurelie, DMFA.

expatinscotland · 24/04/2016 21:55

Yeah, Joe's mother died of alcoholism when he was young.

CremeEggThief · 24/04/2016 21:55

"What is the appeal of Gary?" Exactly, Louis.

seasidesally · 24/04/2016 21:55

Louis thinks gary is an arse

so do i

he's disgusting

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 24/04/2016 21:56

Gary is a total dicksmack.

Fabellini · 24/04/2016 21:57

She can't see that she could change. She's accepting it as inevitable that she's going to be an alcoholic forever and that he's as good as she deserves. So sad.

pnutter · 24/04/2016 21:57

Joe ...I so hope he recovers for good

DameXanaduBramble · 24/04/2016 21:57

I really hope Joe stays well, he has such a lot ahead of him.

EDisFunny · 24/04/2016 21:59

Aurelie just doesn't think that she is worth it, she's resigned to the addiction. Gary is just confirmation of her feeling of not being worth it.

I hope Joe makes it.

DayToDayGlobalShit · 24/04/2016 21:59

Did i miss the update on the chap who was having the liquid drawn from his stomach?

CremeEggThief · 24/04/2016 21:59

I don't know if I would have the courage to deal with RL if I had been an alcoholic from over 30 years either.Sad The thought of it is probably scarier than the reality.

I hope Joe continues his recovery.

seasidesally · 24/04/2016 22:00

a mixed bag of outcomes
i really hope she ditches Gary

--tunnocks and crisps contain dairy, protein and carbs. So, balanced, Expat>

MrsFring · 24/04/2016 22:03

Lovely lad. That was one of the most accurate descriptions of being an alcoholic that I have ever heard. I live in Brighton too, if I see him around I'll give him a massive hug.

stealtheatingtunnocks · 24/04/2016 22:04

God love them. Louis is really good at showing the humanity behind the stereotype. He should be in government.

expatinscotland · 24/04/2016 22:08

Louis should be in my arms . . . .

Tanfastic · 24/04/2016 22:15

Daytoday - there wasn't an update but from experience when it gets to that point without transplant you are pretty near the end Sad. It was pretty accurate what the professionals said, certainly in my dad's case.

Penvelopesnightie · 24/04/2016 22:18

My DH took my rose wine away from me and threw it down the sink Shock

DayToDayGlobalShit · 24/04/2016 22:49

thanks Tan, I hope he is still doing ok though

Milzilla · 24/04/2016 22:57

Can't stop thinking about Aurelie. Her bf was a hideous twunt and she is lovely - feel so sad for her :(

Have always loved Louis 😍

stealtheatingtunnocks · 24/04/2016 22:57

Expat...create a trap with him with a tunnocks teacakes. Bound to work.

Penvelopes - LTB

What's next week's topic? Will they follow up the people with alcoholism? Or, move onto the next harrowing field?

woody2976 · 24/04/2016 22:59

Mrsfring what was Joe's description. i missed it. Amazing programme. so sad.

expatinscotland · 24/04/2016 23:06

I wish, stealth. He needs to do a show on lonely, middle-aged women who are addicted to watching documentaries and eating junk food.
