its something that ive not really thought about,if somebody has a accident and they are physically disabled you can see that but brain damage you dont see

i felt sorry for the man with the 2 little boys. His wife had clearly changed so much.

Chippednailvarnishing · 15/05/2016 21:40

I don't think I would have her back at home.

gingerboy1912 · 15/05/2016 21:44

I'm watching, finding it very sadSad

seasidesally · 15/05/2016 21:46

I agree chipped. I think she was upsetting the eldest child. What a shame.

TheSpottedZebra · 15/05/2016 21:46

I missed what had happened to Natalie - how did she get her injury?

gingerboy1912 · 15/05/2016 21:48

The mum of the two boys fell from a horse

HalsallRedux · 15/05/2016 21:48

Spotted, she tried to take her own life with an overdose of insulin and suffered brain damage. So very sad.

HalsallRedux · 15/05/2016 21:49

Sorry, that's the Welsh lady I'm talking about. Got the names muddled.

TheSpottedZebra · 15/05/2016 21:49

Oh, thanks both. V v sad.

gingerboy1912 · 15/05/2016 21:49

I'm watching it about 20 minutes behind so haven't seen her yet.

woody2976 · 15/05/2016 21:50

yes I dont think it's good for those boys to have their Mum at home.

gingerboy1912 · 15/05/2016 21:50

The mum looks nothing like how she used to. So sad for the whole family including her parents.

gingerboy1912 · 15/05/2016 21:52

And obviously her personality is completely different I meant to say

woody2976 · 15/05/2016 21:54

yes she looks like a different person.

seasidesally · 15/05/2016 21:57

i dont think those living arrangments are going to last

so sad for everybody

It's awful having just enough awareness to know you're a burden, but to not be able to be different.

Hulababy · 15/05/2016 22:04

We knew someone who had a fall when skiing - wife of a friend of dh's. She suffered a head injury and it changed her massively. Her personality changed overnight. She ended up leaving him and starting a new relationship/life without him. Their children were older teens but it was very hard on all of them. Took him a long time to get back on track too.

All very sad, this kind of thing.

BastardGoDarkly · 15/05/2016 22:05

Amanda's story was so heartbreaking. I can't see how that can continue, that poor family :(

gingerboy1912 · 15/05/2016 22:05

Oh gosh just watched the bit where she's baking cakes for her sons. The husband looks shattered and stressed right out.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 15/05/2016 22:06

it looks so so difficult for all of them. Those poor boys.

Clayhead · 15/05/2016 22:29

Poor Amanda and poor Rob, such an achingly sad situation for both of them.

gingerboy1912 · 15/05/2016 22:31
Sad
purpleme12 · 15/05/2016 22:37

Hit a nerve. I could sympathise with how upsetting it is if your person is really different. It's not the same but my OH has bad mental health stuff and didn't used to and he's changed tons so I got it. I sympathised with the man when he said it wasn't like a husband and wife relationship and she'd most her squidgy side that also reminded me of OH. I can see why people say hidden disabilities are hard
