Have just started watching Black Books on 4od from the beginning. I just saw odd episodes of it when it first aired. Am really enjoying it. Think I might start on Father Ted once I've caught up with Black Books. Really want to find Blackadder online that'd really make me happy :)

What old programmes are you currently rewatching and are they standing the test of time?

Band of brothers, it's brilliant

CoodleMoodle · 04/04/2016 07:55

Recently finished watching Red Dward for the millionth time and have moved on to The Brittas Empire (again, for the millionth time!).

Next I'm planning to rewatch either Gilmore Girls (in time for the revival, it's going to take ages but I want to remember everything!) or Friday Night Dinner (just because).

I love rewatching 'old' stuff, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy!

The Bill Blush

And Buffy ( just started a thread on that!)

VulcanWoman · 04/04/2016 08:16

CharleyFarleyy · 04/04/2016 08:17

OliviaStabler · 04/04/2016 08:17

House. I was ill and discovered it was on Netflix. Now I'm hooked.

We've just finished a 4 series binge of Scott and Bailey - had never watched it before. Loved it, it was very real. So much so I'm now struggling to watch moody airy fairy unrealistic cop stuff like Thirteen and Marcella without constant comparisons Hmm

On the re-reading thread someone posted a link to the 1987 Lord Peter Wimsey/Harriet Vane adaptations with Harriet Walter. I saw them at the time [ancient] but fancied catching up with them.

Sadly they don't stand up brilliantly - I've been simultaneously re reading the books (again) and they cut out so much of what makes the books good.

Fugghetaboutit · 04/04/2016 08:30

ohwoolballs where are you watching ER?

pinocchiosnose · 04/04/2016 08:50

Buffy . I also started watching house

diddl · 04/04/2016 08:50

I have just watched All the Small Things.

Loved it!

Can't believe that there wasn't another series.

Also surprised that Richard Fleeshman's dad is the guy who played Gilbert Tonks.

scaredofthecity · 04/04/2016 09:40

Third rock from the sun... missed it the first time and love it. Such easy watching

magratsflyawayhair · 04/04/2016 09:45

I'm watching fringe which isn't all that old but I missed it first time.

Wombat87 · 04/04/2016 09:54

House on Netflix. 2more seasons to go!

BrennieGirl · 04/04/2016 09:58

The Sopranos - again. Just finished it actually. Feeling a bit bereft.

DrDiva · 04/04/2016 10:10

Haven. First season was ok, great last episode which made us watch next two excellent seasons. 4 is proving a bit meh so far but more promise in last night's episode.

So envious of first time Fringe watchers!

TenWineBottles · 04/04/2016 12:16

Currently rewatching The Mentalist and also Messiah (Ken Stott).

Also on the to-watch list:

Reckless (Robson Green)
Mistresses
Island at War
Clocking Off

BobandKate0H · 04/04/2016 18:09

SendTheNextOneIn · 04/04/2016 18:42

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I'm on season four.

I really want to watch Ally McBeal again. The box set has been on my Amazon wish list for ages!

WitchSharkadder · 04/04/2016 18:45

Six feet under. About half way through season 1 and loving it so far.

Flisspaps · 04/04/2016 18:57

NCIS. We've watched from series 1 (just before Christmas) and are now up to series 10 Grin

Fpmd1710 · 04/04/2016 19:00

I've just finished watching Gilmore Girls in preparation for the Netflix revival later this year. Last night I decided to give Full House a go too as I've always heard loads about it, OMG the acting is awful and it can't even be forgiven because of the comical moments (like so many other sitcoms), there is no funny moments!!
I literally always watch friends repeats too, but who doesn't? Grin

notamummy10 · 04/04/2016 19:04

After You've Gone, it was on BBC One between 2007-8 and ran for 3 series' and 3 Christmas specials. It got cancelled because Coronation Street changed its Friday slot to the same time, the bloody cheek of them Angry
