Glad to see I'm not the only one thinking WTF. I have no idea why the spook was in the cells when Michael died, and why he had a hand in covering it up for 20 years. If MI5 had been watching Michael and were concerned at him stirring up trouble in the UK, why not deport him to the US to be tried for murdering the Mayor? Get rid of him without turning him into a martyr.

Bit of a let down....

I missed the first 30 minutes of tonight's episode can somebody fill me in please. I have no idea what that was all about and it appears others feel the same.

I'm soooo disappointed. I haven't a clue what went on in the last episode.

I can't say I have enjoyed any episode in this series but felt compelled to keep going with it in case it got any better. It was just utterly confusing and didn't make any sense from start to finish. I love a good complicated plot and am enjoying Marcella for that very reason but this was just nonsense. Badly written and the acting was really hammy and overdone. The characters were not believable at all... And the less said about bloody Mrs Antwi singing amazing grace at every opportunity the better!

I agree. Disappointing ending. So the UK police have someone sent to prison and someone murdered just to cover up a US miscarriage of Justice? Even if he did do it, if you are against the death penalty, you are against the death penalty. Michael couldn't have suddenly deserved to die because he was a murderer and drug dealer rather than a freedom fighter.

If anyone could explain the plot to me I would be very grateful. Sat through six episodes of that twaddle.
