....anyone know when it's back? I'm pining.

Finally caught up with it all. Disappointed that Mali, Julie and Katie (from first week) all left. There might be two women in each heat but they're getting rid of them quickly. Is the First Julie Nurse the only woman left so far?

I'd be really interested to see more blind judging on Masterchef, with the judges not knowing which contestant cooked what, and judging it purely on what is in front of them rather than pre-conceptions about each cook coming into it. I don't remember that they have ever done much of this? Unlike, say on Bake Off with the technical challenges.

originalmavis · 03/04/2016 15:16

I did snigger when after cooking the fish too early, threatening to bung it in the oven, poking it then dropping it, the critic said something about the fish being nice and not having been 'messed around with'. It does make you wonder what happens to your food before it gets to your table.

squoosh · 04/04/2016 12:08

Sad to see Julie go out so early. I thought her soup and brown bread looked totally scoffable. The personal trainer should have gone really. He seemed nice enough but I used to go out with a personal trainer so was sucking my stomach in every time he appeared on screen!

squoosh · 04/04/2016 12:08

gentlydownthestreamm that's a good idea. A blind test in each round would be a great idea.

HalleLouja · 04/04/2016 14:35

I too thought Julie was robbed. I would have eaten that soup and roll. It looked yum.

I remember the time it was always scallops with peas / black pudding. Obvs not fashionable anymore.

I caught a snippet of an episode I must have missed . How annoying was that Welsh bloke Cai?!

On the one had he was an irritating twazzock of epic proportions so ha, ha, glad you're gone! but on the other hand I feel I've been robbed of a hate figure.

Sad
