Is it just me or is Morven THE most annoying character ever?!

OP posts:

I really hope it doesn't go down the emotional abuse route for Dom and Isaac.

Inga's a wench and not at all likable, but I have to say, I do have some sympathy with her massive insecurity about Mo and Mr. T - her feelings are pretty justified, and Mo HAS been a bit gleeful about rubbing things in. The pregnancy lie is a step too far though.

SoupDragon · 23/12/2016 14:20

I don't think Mo is rubbing it in as such. They had a very jokey and close relationship before and I think she's just carried on with it when perhaps she should have toned it down. Inga''s insecurities about their relationship coupled with Mo's baby is just making it look worse.

It's all going to go horribly wrong anyway.

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 23/12/2016 14:52

I think it depends on the scriptwriter - remember when Mo was a bitch to Mr. T, effectively telling him to bow to her surgical knowledge (or summat like that)? That wasn't like her at all, it really does seem to depend on who's writing a particular episode.

And yeah, you just know it's going to go horribly wrong eventually. Also, am I the only one who enjoyed seeing George from 'Drop The Dead Donkey' as the alcoholic psychiatrist a few weeks ago? Quite the role change!

RochelleGoyle · 23/12/2016 16:50

MissSue I agree, it seems very likely that Sasha and Essie will get back together!

Have to say I wasn't that surprised by Isaac's nasty behaviour towards Dom. They've been giving hints that he had an unpleasant side for a while. Hope they don't drag that storyline out too long because it'll be horrible to watch.

HalleLouja · 24/12/2016 13:57

I also called Isaac a C U Next Tuesday. To be fair as Miranda said I don't think he's supposed to be nice.

BBC trailer. Looks like HH is back soon.

Not sure I like the new doctor. But Jac made me cross with the way she spoke to Jasmine (who I would like to get rid of) and Sasha. Poor Sasha. He is used to it though.

HalleLouja · 24/12/2016 13:57

Anyway I am starting a new campaign #bringbackSpence

BubbleFairy · 27/12/2016 21:41

So watching it on catch up an hour behind and so far looks like Isaac is minimising and trying to carry on with Dom.... Can't be bipolar as they wouldn't duplicate a storyline, but looking like abusive relationship?

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 28/12/2016 09:34

Isaac is gaslighting. He isn't bipolar - he's abusive.

ellesbellesxxx · 28/12/2016 09:36

Why did Dom go along with it? And he cancelled on Zosia Shock

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 28/12/2016 10:11

Seriously, can't you see what's going on? Look up 'gaslighting' - the Isaac/Dom storyline is the perfect example of it.

SoupDragon · 28/12/2016 10:26

I thought gas-lighting too. The only other option is some kind of mental illness where he is two completely different and separate personalities in the same body.

SoupDragon · 28/12/2016 10:28

The way Issac said Dom had stormed off in a little boy hussy fit points totally to gas-lighting though.

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 28/12/2016 10:32

Soup, I don't believe it's mental illness. Look how Isaac's laid his trail: working his way up, charming people, coming into a position of power where he has control.

The way he's turned on Dom is ABSOLUTE gaslighting - trying to convince him that he was being daft - 'Don't you know how arguments work?' Then turning him away from Zosia, his long term friend, and also rubbishing the memory of Diggers.

It's awful to watch.

SoupDragon · 28/12/2016 10:37

Yes,that's why I said it totally points to gas-lighting.

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 28/12/2016 10:58

I know - I was agreeing with you Smile Sorry, I probably came across as a bit touchy!

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 28/12/2016 11:01

I'm finding this storyline really hard to watch. I hope Isaac ends up working alongside Matteo - he seems to see through people pretty quickly.

BubbleFairy · 28/12/2016 12:13

I was saying it had to be abusive relationship as well. I was saying it's not mental health - especially as they already have that story line. Isaac is totally trying to split Dom and zosia apart. And is awful :-(

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 28/12/2016 12:22

DH kept squeezing my hand when we were watching it - my bastard ex was very much like Isaac in his wrongfooting and superiority.

Also, Essie and the kiddie with hepatitis C? Seriously? She's a transplant coordinator - you can't just brush over him hitting the booze in order to get him a transplant. I'm a recovering alcoholic who now works in addiction support, and I work with people on the transplant list - that whole storyline is wrong, on SO many levels.

gingerhobo48 · 28/12/2016 12:46

I thought that as well BGTB, really wrong and unprofessional but I don't like her character. really didn't want to see her get off with Raif.

Optimist1 · 28/12/2016 13:12

Essie has morphed into an over-sentimental character who seems to think that normal rules don't apply to her - very unpleasant. Raf is going to regret it if they do get together!

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 28/12/2016 13:21

Also, Essie taking Parker in - surely that's not allowed?

BubbleFairy · 28/12/2016 13:22

I thought that Beauty, goes against every child protection piece of training we have had.

Solo · 28/12/2016 13:29

Why have I never see this thread before??? I'm home!! Grin

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 28/12/2016 13:50

Bubble, I'm so glad it's not just me - do you work in child protection?

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 28/12/2016 19:25

Solo, welcome home Smile
