Gilmore Girls is officially coming back!

Netflix confirmed today there will be 4 new 90 minute episodes and they will be streaming the whole original series as well. All due in 2016

I'm late to the GG party having only started watching it on 5* since being on maternity leave in December,just saw Rory graduate, but i'm ridiculously excited about new episodes!

I want Jackson and Zach to be doing the main childcare. Although, with the exception of Lane's twins, Gilmore Girls did the usual TV thing of DC rarely appearing or having any impact on their parents' lives!

Jackson should absolutely do the childcare! He wanted the babies, he lied about the vasectomy- HE CAN LOOK AFTER THEM!

Zach I wouldn't mind disappearing. I never liked him.

I think the vasectomy thing came about because Melissa was pregnant in real life and they decided to write it in instead of hiding it.

Bad way to write it in! So many other choices! Really rubbish for the character- he came across as so abusive and horrid; the episode where he tried to stop her skiing and drinking had me shouting at the TV 😂

Sookie was out of order earlier in the story, instructing him to have a vasectomy and booking him in for it! Not that this excuses his lies,

Not Jess. He never knew her. He wasn't good for her, only made her feel crap about herself. At least Logan let her be Rory.

I heard a rumour that someone will be pregnant. Lorelai would be 48?? So I doubt it's her. Could just he an unfounded rumour of course.

There was a picture of Rory with a child that looked about 10. Maybe one of Lane's boys?

There is a wedding isn't there? Or am I totally making that up? I'd like it of it was lorelai and luke finally getting married.

As long as Lorelei is with Luke I will be happy. Logan was my favourite of Rory's boyfriend's, but I don't think any of them were particularly wonderful.

Luke behaved so badly to Lorelei during the 'oh I have a child' fiasco that I haven't really forgiven him. And he was a dick to Dean back in season one. I like his ability to build things and cook, don't like his bossy suspicious attitude.

I think Rory will end up with Jess. It has been confirmed that it's not Dean (not that it was likely!)

I hope Rory is a bit less annoying. But the end she was pretty irritating.

I hope all the town characters are heavily featured. I wonder what Kirk is up to and how will they explain Miss Pattys mega weight loss.

I want Rory to end up with Logan. They worked through their problems, unlike Jess who threw frequent paddys and did a year long disappearing act on her. Dean was too small-town for Rory. She needs a guy who will let her do whatever she wants to do, and Dean would not be that guy, and Jess was too self-absorbed. Logan was entitled but at least he didn't have the huge chip on his shoulder that Jess did. I'm Team Logan though Jess is hot.

Lorelie and Luke really need to be together making it work with no splitting up or running away from each other.

I've just finished series 7 which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be by half, I actually found series 6 worse, and there have been points in all the series I haven't liked I.e. Jason & Lorelie. Their relationship annoyed me so much I skipped most of those parts.

Loved Paris, I hope she is as crazy as ever and terrifying everyone with her world domination. And it wouldn't be Stars Hollow without Sookie so thank goodness she is returning!

I'm not sure about Rory ending up with logan. They had the opportunity to make it a nice neat ending with him in season 7 and they chose not to. Although that was different writers so you never know. I did read that logans friends (finn and someone else who's name I've forgotten) are going to be in it so maybe it's for a Rory/logan wedding! Can't see why else they would bring back two quite obscure characters really.

I bet Dean is married to someone else and has kids.

Im 99% certain lorelei and luke will be together, or at least will be by the end. Imagine the uproar if they're not!

coffeeatlukes no uproar from me! Luke's character wasn't right for Lorelei. His Eeyore outlook was suffocating.

No man for Lorelei unless he can let her be herself!

Finally finished season 7 and it wasn't as bad as I'd expected with the change behind the season.

I loved the end with Loriel and Luke, they were finally both in the same place properly. I didn't expect the Logan and Rory split and I'd like it if she's gone off and been a journalist and now they are both in the same place and together. They were good for each other. She calmed him down and showed him it wasn't that scary to actually care and he loosened Rory up :)

I am glad Jackson didn't get the snip because when I watched the scene where she demands he go right now it made me more cros than is reasonable. Reverse it, he is telling her to go and give up her fertility right this moment with no discussion first it would have been horrific!

I hope Lane gets all the things mentioned up thread. If she's a successful working mum that's be great :)

It was awful the way she insisted on it- as was his sulking and demanding that they have 5 children!
