Gilmore Girls is officially coming back!

Netflix confirmed today there will be 4 new 90 minute episodes and they will be streaming the whole original series as well. All due in 2016

I'm late to the GG party having only started watching it on 5* since being on maternity leave in December,just saw Rory graduate, but i'm ridiculously excited about new episodes!

I'm on holiday in LA at the moment.. And just did the Warner Bros studios tour... They are currently building the set for Gilmore Girls. We were not allowed to take photos but it was all there... The diner, the hardware store... The gazebo... Even Lauralei's Jeep...sooo exciting eeekkk

Ok so this thread started a while ago on the rumour mill. But Melissa McCarthy is in. As are most main characters. Starts 4 months after Richard Gilmores passing (Rip Ed) Am so bloody excited. you tube has a small clip of the girls themselves. Each of the 4 episodes are 90 mins long called, winter, spring, Summer and fall. To be aired in November . Bring it on! Huzzah! Oy with the poodles already! Can't bloody wait!

Just started Gilmore girls. Want to love it but found 1st episode it a bit slow & dated? I'm a single mum & really want to binge watch another single mum muddling alongwill it grow on me??

Skip to season 3 - I started there accidently. Season 1 feels pretty old.

It might grow on you, might not! It's very American, mainly about a dysfunctional, rich family and "quirky" mother/daughter bonding. the lead (lorelei) talks fast and a lot which put my DM off!

So people, do we think lorelei and luke will have had DC together? That rory will get back with Logan?

I preferred jess, but none of her bfs were a good bet long term IMO!

I hope there are little Luke-leis! Or Lori-ukes!

Or maybe it will have Rori having her own baby?

I always liked Logan. I hope he and Rori are together.

But Logan was an entitled tool! And imagine the awful in laws. Perhaps he'll have improved and gone NC with mitchum!

Apparently they only did one big thing in season 7 that the original showrunner disliked: my bet is lane's pregnancy. Her character got the short straw: she was bright like rory but didn't get to go to college, married someone who didn't treat her well, then got pg the first time she had (bad) sex!

So excited to have found my people!!

Lane was hugely stitched up- why was her mother so bothered about her having an education in the early seasons, for her to just chuck it all away? I always felt she was hugely short changed. And PLEASE- give her a storyline that is not dominated by the fact she is Korean! People are more than their ethnicity.

I liked Logan despite all that. I liked the fact they worked through things.

I didn't realise the actor who played Richard died! I'm so sad! He was my favourite!

I really want to visit Connecticut, and the town Essex that Stars Hollow is meant to be based on.

I also really hope Carole King puts an appearance in again as that is just ridiculously cool.

Ugh I HATE Logan. Hopefully she has a nice new fella (or no fella if that's what she wants!)

Yes, the actor was excellent as Richard too-v believable! The character has died too in the story for these specials. Bet Emily will be abominable!

So my wish list:

Sookie has continued to be a successful chef with a happy marriage
Lane has gained some agency and is able to experience the aspects of life she frequently vocalised that she wanted (education, personal freedom, musical expression)
Rori and Loreli have a good relationship with Emily despite Richard's death
Loreli is with a man who lets her be who she wants to be. I wasn't always a big fan of Luke. Or Christopher. I preferred the teacher out of all of her beaus.
