Anyone going to watch?
I'm wondering if Sam Cam is saying 'well you can stay up but you must have your jammies on and teeth brushed first'.

Next week is Ed Balls, Kimberly Walsh, Victoria Coren Mitchell and Chris Kamara. Hosted by Jennifer Saunders.

Davros · 28/01/2016 10:11

Samcam hardly does nothing but stand next to her husband. Isn't she marketing director or something if Smythson?

CrystalMcPistol · 28/01/2016 10:20

David James was my favourite. Funny, easygoing,.......HOT!

CrystalMcPistol · 28/01/2016 10:22

Sam Cam saying she'd never seen a vanilla pod before made me question her upper middle class credentials.

CrystalMcPistol · 28/01/2016 10:22

Jason Manford gives me the creeps.

CrystalMcPistol · 28/01/2016 10:22

And blonde girl seemed nice enough put pulled too many faces for my liking.

ExitPursuedByABear · 28/01/2016 10:45

Samcro Grin I have been dreading logging in as I was worried you would have given me a roasting.

I too should never post after a few vinos.

GruntledOne · 28/01/2016 11:11

In our house we were wondering whether Downing Street made it a condition that SamCam was up against people she could beat, and/or whether she had training from the Downing Street caterers.

Samcro · 28/01/2016 11:21

ExitPursuedByABear i decided honesty was the nest policy lol
it must have made sense in my head last night....today it was wtf did I mean.

OneMagnumisneverenough · 28/01/2016 11:28

Jason Manford is a bit of a cock.

Thought Sam was a bit strange - never seen a vanilla pod before? really?!!

David James seemed genuinely gutted that his creation didn't work out and the young girl seems lovely.

neolara · 28/01/2016 13:10

David James' showstopper was absolutely hilarious. Presumably, as a professional footballer, he's massively competitive. I imagine he really, really wanted to win but he took the disaster incredibly well.

PurpleDaisies · 28/01/2016 13:11

I really liked David. Sam Cam was clearly the best but a bit too competent to be really likeable.

CrystalMcPistol · 28/01/2016 13:13

She must have practised that surf cakes loads of times!

5Foot5 · 28/01/2016 13:19

Yes I thought Sam Cam came over well. I am looking forward to next week because I really like Victoria Coren Mitchell

Strictlyobsessed · 28/01/2016 16:23

I dont think she came over well, Sam Cam "its exhausting" !try working for a 12 hour shift as a midwife love, such a gilded life.

BeckerLleytonNever · 28/01/2016 17:19

what a fucking hypocrite Sam cam is going on a CHARITY program to raise money for underprivelaged when her bastard husband takes everything from the already underprivelaged, the sherrif of Nottingham/Herod he is...shes not even a bloody celeb! fucking hypocrite. (sorry, Im in excrutiating 24/7 pain with my disabilities (and my DC has excruciating physical disabilities too) and this makes my blood boil)

posted this^^ on another thread about disabilities.

also, all these ''celebs'' all rich. hope they donate to the causes.

sorry if Ive derailed this thread Hmm

OneMagnumisneverenough · 28/01/2016 17:35

also, all these ''celebs'' all rich. hope they donate to the causes.

whether or not and how much people donate to charity is entirely their business. I presume they are not receiving a fee for appearing on the show and are therefore giving up their time to make a programme that encourages people to watch and donate. I am sure they are not usually on minimum wage (though some may no longer "work" as such) so their time is expensive.

I am really sorry that you are dealing with so much and I absolutely agree that more should be done for people in this country who struggle - i am also happy to pay more tax to go towards that. However, they people appearing in this programme are not the problem.

OneMagnumisneverenough · 28/01/2016 17:37

I'd also be pretty hacked off if anything I did was rubbished based on what my husband did. I am not related or even a fan of anyone on this weeks show so have no axe to grind in that regard.

FGSdontblameme · 28/01/2016 18:28

Well she's damned if she does & damned if she doesn't.

I thought she came across really well. Of course she practiced her cake, but I think most of us would.
She was sweet with the comments about her daughter, admitted that her arty background helped and said she didn't find it easy.
I was prepared to sneer at her but found her very likeable.

I bet Victoria Coren Mitchell will be brilliant next week.

DickDewy · 28/01/2016 18:35

I thought Sam Cam came across really well too. I was glad she won.

Trills · 28/01/2016 19:40

Victoria Coren Mitchell?! Shock

Be still my beating heart. :o

David Mitchell was v good the other year (good to watch I mean, don't remember if he was good at cakes).

NotJanine · 29/01/2016 12:41

I expect VCM to produce perfect cakes - she seems like the type that is good at everything!

I thought it was quite sad that Sam Cam said she hadn't laughed so much...(I expected her to say 'for weeks') since school
and also how pleased she was to get flowers 'not for just being someone's wife'.

DilysPrice · 29/01/2016 14:38

Oh no, VCM is extremely proud of her lack of domesticity. That's why she's such a perfect match for David. She'll revel in her incompetence I reckon.

JingsAndCrivens · 29/01/2016 14:40

Who else is on next week's show?

MitzyLeFrouf · 04/02/2016 10:21

Anyone watch last night?

Did I see a snippet of David Attenborough (!) appearing in an upcoming episode?
