So excited. It seems to have been a long time !

well, Lewji, I'd have been more competent than the first one Alicia hired.

but if someone interviews for a PI role, has an injury like that and won't tell you how they got it - would you hire them? I can only think Alicia did hire him to spice up her life a bit. There would have been less alarming PIs around.

lorelei9 · 27/02/2016 19:13

I realise a lot of PIs are pretty shady but I just think I'd rather have one who wasn't carrying around evidence of violence!

Lweji · 27/02/2016 19:14

Not for the fees she's prepared to pay.

But she's not stupid... (and I won't say more).

lorelei9 · 27/02/2016 19:17

no Lweji, she isn't, which is why I'm wondering if she had a particular agenda in hiring someone so obviously a wrong un....I'll find out of course.

I actually didn't even watch it on Thursday, I just caught up. I was home but I don't look forward to watching it the way I used to.

I feel like Cary needs a good storyline but he did hog a lot of it last time!

RomComPhooey · 28/02/2016 00:45

oh, Howard totally planted that stuff in his own office, right?

That's what DH said.

Cary, meh - we had half a season of Cary doing puppy dog eyes in the dock, in jail, in all sorts of photogenic criminal justice settings last year. The amount of Cary we are getting now is plenty.

Alicia's PI is very effective, if unorthodox (often the wrong side of the law) in his methods. That's what you need when you are on a shoestring budget without a huge team behind you and need to start winning cases.

RomComPhooey · 03/03/2016 21:24

Naughty Eli - back to the dodgy judge to squeeze him for info about the rigged election machines.

RomComPhooey · 03/03/2016 21:25

I smell election torpedo...

lorelei9 · 03/03/2016 23:48

Well, I was out tonight and although really nodding off when I got home, decided to watch it.

Is it me or was the ending of that episode particularly poor? I felt that we were building up to something happening and then it totally didn't.

RomComPhooey · 04/03/2016 07:09

Nope. Thought it was great. Especially loved the return of the guys in the listening station - they were comedy gold the last time they were in The Good Wife. They'll be listening to Peter, Ruth and Eli's phones in no time, allowing us as the viewers to get more of the coxtext more quickly - clever plot device for a final season.

Also, DH turned to me during Peter's launch speech when Eli got a glint in his eye and said: "Eli's just reaalised that Alicia should be running for President and that she'd win."

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 04/03/2016 09:11

I just love Eli's glints. His face is epic for expressing a 1000 words with 1 look.

The NSA guys will make this really interesting now too I think. Who will end up privy to Alicia's convos & what will they do with that info? When Eli spills Alicia finds out Peter was behind her total humiliation & defeat, I hope it's as awesome a reckoning for Peter as I can imagine. She's put up with so much shit to keep Peter's career going, I can't imagine the rage she'll feel.

Lweji · 04/03/2016 09:22

Eli is a sly one. Grin

lorelei9 · 04/03/2016 10:01

What was Eli looking so....something...about when Peter began his speech? When Lauren asked "what?"

There's clearly an undertone to this season that I'm not getting.

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 04/03/2016 10:09

I think that look was the inner workings of Eli gold's mind - not something us mere mortals are usually privy to as we usually find out much further down the line but I think Eli realising just how deep Peter is involved in Alicia's downfall & then seeing the 'optics' of Alicia a la Michelle Obama sent his little cogs into overdrive Grin

Lweji · 04/03/2016 10:10

Yes, his inner musings will be obvious in a couple of episodes.

lorelei9 · 04/03/2016 10:15

Much as I love Alicia, if they're going down the track of having her run for President they've gone mad.

She mentioned Edward Snowden when she was talking on her usual mobile & they zoomed in on it. The two guys monitoring were thrilled because they recognised her voice from the last time they were monitoring her and her family

I have to take them to task over the Iceland' bit - there aren't many trees in Iceland.

Thought this was a good episode.

Great to have the NSA guys back. For some reason they knew it was Dellinger, but they didn't know where he was. I assume they have voice recognition.
I don't think they real listening stations have big open plan offices though....what do I know I Only drive past GCHQ regularly have never been inside The Doughnut.

Duckdeamon · 05/03/2016 18:10

Yes, love the NSA guys. Also enjowd Marissa's "intervention" for her father.

Eli is becoming a parody of himself though, just too much eyebrows etc. OTT.

Am enjoying the Denny/Alicia possibilities. Good to see him looking so well!

RomComPhooey · 05/03/2016 18:27

Do we think the PI is really a sociopath or was the judge just hacked off with him? Could be interesting. He is all charm and twinkle at the moment, but he could definitely have a less charming side.

LittleRedSparke · 05/03/2016 18:34

Why does Alicia look at men with a 'I want to sleep with you' look all the time?

RomComPhooey · 05/03/2016 18:35

Because Finn wouldn't put out? Wink

slicedfinger · 05/03/2016 18:36

Loving having the spies back, they are genius and must be such fun to act!

Duckdeamon · 05/03/2016 18:52

She's often encountering those sexy men littleredsparkle
