I know this is on tomorrow night but since I had such a good time watching The X Factor on here, thought it would be good fun to start a thread so we can enjoy the fun together! So this year we have both Boy George and Faith Paloma as judges ( both of whom I think will be great fun! ) as well as the bonkers Will i am and the lovely Ricky ( can't remember his name ) from Kasabian.

So, if you have nothing better to do on a Saturday night, come and join me for an hour of fun and frolics!
Smile

( and remember it's now on ITV!)

Snacks sorted, DH is home with Mini Eggs. No booze because I have to pick DD up later.
Not sure I can cope.

PersephonePitstop · 09/01/2016 19:04

I'm boycotting it as they dropped Sir Tom for Boy George.

Cocolepew · 09/01/2016 19:14

I heard Do You Really Want To Hurt Me today and Georges, voice is outstanding on it. Never really noticed before

Destinysdaughter · 09/01/2016 19:17

Oh George had the voice of an angel back in the day. Saw him at an eighties rewind concert a few years ago and he couldn't hit the high notes any more. Jimmy Sommerville was still fantastic tho!

Coco, he was very good. Smooth voice and not all that up and down warbling they prefer these days. He was just different back in the day.

BitOfFun · 09/01/2016 19:21

Go on then Grin

The80sweregreat · 09/01/2016 19:22

Loved Jimmy too, he had a higher range. There were some good singers around in the 80s. ( getting nostalgic ! ) george michael was another very good singer. ..

Destinysdaughter · 09/01/2016 19:23

I went to see Culture Club in the early eighties at Leicester Polytechnic the week they got to no 1 with Do you really want to hurt me? The tickets were £1.75!

I couldn't see past Prince in the 80's.
I was a version in purple satin.

The80sweregreat · 09/01/2016 19:27

Destiny, a lot of money in those days!
Had 'colour by numbers ' on tape, someone taped it for me.
And wrote on the inside pocket too ( in small writing)
Probably got tangled up in the cassette player.

Destinysdaughter · 09/01/2016 19:28

Oooh I LOVED Prince!

The80sweregreat · 09/01/2016 19:29

Not a Prince fan but purple rain is a classic.
I do love that song

MaudGonneMad · 09/01/2016 19:30

Sweet suffering Jesus, not Paloma Faith?! I bloody hate her. Not sure I'll be able to watch, especially if she's all quirky and wacky

MelanieCheeks · 09/01/2016 19:30

I'm in! Got my spinny chair ready to go.

Destinysdaughter · 09/01/2016 19:30

I made myself a fantastic faux Vivienne Westwood type outfit out of curtains but the old photo I have of it is one with my head chopped off!
( not literally obvs) Grin

Raahh · 09/01/2016 19:32

I loved Prince.

Bloody hell, this isn't 'live' live, and sounds awful already Grin

MaudGonneMad · 09/01/2016 19:33

Hhhhhrrrraaaarrrrrr

Raahh · 09/01/2016 19:33

Robert Plant should sue.

Goingtobeawesome · 09/01/2016 19:33

I love Ricky but I don't think I will be able to stand PF so I think I'm probably out for this series.

Cocolepew · 09/01/2016 19:33

Paloma looks like she has too many teeth for her mouth

MelanieCheeks · 09/01/2016 19:34

Oh. I thought that was rather good!
