I loved Cold Feet. I thought it was brilliantly written.
Sex in the city...that was airing just as my marriage was breaking down, so found it a good distraction.
Ally Mcbeal.
Holby city...the first series. Loved that. Never watched it for decades now.

Dallas...the early ones before it got silly.
The waltons...good comforting, home spun family values.
Auf wierdesen pet
Bergerac...I'm sure I could catch up with it somewhere
The vicar of dibley
Oh and the early Robin Hood. The one with Jason Connery in and Clannad singing ' robin...the hooded man' . It all ended rather abruptly as if there was going to be another series and there wasn't.

I'm sure there's more.

Yes to being human (original cast), Buffy, Veronica Mars, Desmonds.@

Clawdy · 18/12/2015 13:05

The Royle Family as it was. Hate those dreadful cringey Christmas specials that started after Nana died.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/12/2015 14:10

afterlife (after he was Egg but before he was Rick)

Between the Lines (very 1990s but loved it)

dinnerladies of course Smile

Bodies (Max Beasley as an Obs/Gynae and Keith Allen as the deeply unpleasant consultant)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/12/2015 14:15

I feel inspired to dig out my box set of Footballers Wives now Blush

Anyone remember a series called "A Touch of Cloth" - John Hannah and Suranne Jones. Deeply silly in an "Airplane" sort of way.

Fevertree · 18/12/2015 15:22

The west wing
Life on Mars

I love state of play. I wish Paul Abbot had written loads of those.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/12/2015 19:57

Oh, I binge watched State of Play one day between Christmas and New Year.

3littlebadgers · 18/12/2015 20:02

There was a series on bbc1 in the early 1990's that I used to love! Baring in mind I was a child at the time. It was about a family living in a house with a Jewish, lady, ghost, called Yetta Feldman or something. I'd love to see that again Grin anyone remember it's name?

Caprinihahahaha · 18/12/2015 20:03

It's brilliant isn't it - and what a cast!

I'm at a gala all day Sunday. I might do the whole thing again.

Fiderer · 18/12/2015 20:08

Someone on Mastermind just now had The West Wing as his specialist subject. I was ridiculously excited.

IPityThePontipines · 18/12/2015 20:28

Summoning - The Almighty Johnsons was fantastic! It was a brilliant idea, made on a budget of about 4 pence, but none the worse for it. I wish it had been a bigger hit, it had a lot to teach other series.

3littlebadgers - that show was called "So Haunt Me".

bblondemoment · 18/12/2015 20:40

The Hills, so envious of their glamorous life living in the constant sun, driving convertibles wearing gorgeous clothes and sun kissed hair, oh and Brody Jenner BlushBlushBlushBlush

Sparkletastic · 18/12/2015 20:42

Robin of Sherwood.

BikeRunSki · 18/12/2015 20:44

I loved Fresh Meat. I'm hoping there will be another series, it was pretty recent.

findingmyfeet12 · 18/12/2015 20:47

I loved the Bill as well. In the early days when it was half hour episodes.

Watto1 · 18/12/2015 20:52

Red Dwarf (series 1-6 ie before it went crap and the least said about the recent episodes on Dave the better)

And another vote for The Bill.

mercifulTehlu · 18/12/2015 21:02

Buffy (but I re-watch it regularly )
Firefly (it's criminal that it didn't get to continue!)

Tried to watch Mad Men but gave up after about 4 episodes. Couldn't see what all the fuss was about!

MrsMoggy · 18/12/2015 22:24

rollonthesummer · 18/12/2015 22:36

Ultraviolet! It was a British vampire series, before vampires got all sparkly and shit. With Idris Elba.

Totally agree with this-it was brilliant!

Also, This Life, Cold Feet, Teachers, Attachments (a series about an internet company-I think it had David Walliams in!), Cutting It, Jonathan Creek, Inspector Morse and Flashforward (Joseph Fiennes/Jack Davenport) I loved the idea of this!).

And Press Gang. God, I loved Press Gang!

Bolshybookworm · 18/12/2015 22:36

Ooh yes, TOTP! I miss this soooo much. Was a weekly fixture when I was growing up, I used to be so exited, waiting to see who was on.
