Am starting another thread because the last one had 12 pages.

Wowzers, 17 minutes to go. What will happen? Will Mr and Mrs Carson be able to look each other in the eye? Will Daisy finally stop being annoying? Will Edith finally become the Pope?

Chamberlain... Minister of Health briefly in 1923, then again 1924-1929.

I'm not paying enough attention! I thought ages had passed since the first episode.

Maybe Chamberlain's visit is something to do with the hospital?

First ever episode was 1912, just after the Titanic went down.

Ah I remember now. Looking at how things have changed through the series, though, it appears to have been much longer to me. The fashions are completely different, the decor is completely different -kind of much lighter-the telephone has become a fixture as has electic light. Mind you, the characters don't seem to have aged much.

I'm a bit of a fairweather fan, though....
