They won't risk their soul for a fumble.

SixtyFootDoll · 17/10/2015 21:00

Best TV in ages.
And as a result I am now following Rob Lowe on Twitter and Instagram.
I loved him as a teen but he is hotter than ever.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/10/2015 21:10

Just seen and I am so obviously not religious Hmm

Wasn't expecting the casualty/mount pleasant man to be gay /kiss the prisoners brother

I am Crap with names

SuffolkNWhat · 17/10/2015 21:15

This show is great, I got all the references (RE teacher for 5 years)

RomComPhooey · 17/10/2015 22:30

Will those of you who are less biblically challenged keep us posted with the sly references? TIA

BrandNewAndImproved · 17/10/2015 23:14

I love how intricate it all is. I didn't realise there was biblical references so thank you.

That explains the little girl telling the nun about the 4 horses is in God's plan.

Just read the book of revelation, it should help. www.biblegateway.com/quicksearch/?quicksearch=Revelation&qs_version=NIV

gingercat12 · 18/10/2015 13:38

I thought about reading the book of revelation, but I thought it would probably only make sense if I started form the beginning. I was also worried it sounds a bit obsessive to read the Bible just to understand what Rob Lowe says Blush

howtorebuild · 18/10/2015 13:44

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jude_the_Apostle read this, then you don't have to admit to reading the bible Wink. Nothing wrong with reading the bible Confused, I don't go to church and rarely speak of the bible in life.

howtorebuild · 18/10/2015 13:49

Ohh, after reading that link, I am wondering if the priest is the Father to the twins?

BrandNewAndImproved · 18/10/2015 15:57

Oh I've just realised that Rob lowe is st jude the patron Saint of lost causes. I don't even know what his name is in the series I think of him as rob lowe. and how hot he is

gingercat12 · 18/10/2015 17:06

howtorebuild Thanks. Ironically I do go to church.

gingercat12 · 18/10/2015 17:22

Why do you think "he is Father to the twins"?

LIZS · 21/10/2015 12:54

Caught up with ep 3 last night. Didn't think they could introduce yet more new characters at this stage ! Love Giraffe girl. and the idea of the 4 horseman appearing in Slough. Is it due to air in US as it seems so politically incorrect for that audience?

gingercat12 · 21/10/2015 13:17

LIZS They must be planning to release it in the US if they renamed the original title "Apocalypse Slough" (which would be classic in the UK, but probably gets lost in translation in the US) to what it is now.

BrandNewAndImproved · 21/10/2015 13:23

liz can you explain what you mean please? I thought with the American characters it could tie in nicely.

OP posts:
LIZS · 21/10/2015 13:38

Just can't imagine that the racist/sexist stereotypes and idea that the US government has a hidden agenda would go down that well.

RomComPhooey · 21/10/2015 21:13

Yay! It's Wednesday night again.

It's great how Father Jude is so irked by the smooth priest with the slip-on shoes (love how they lingered on those for a micro-second too long). Particularly how he managed to elicit laughter from the nun and Rob was on the wrong side of the door.

Rhonda and Leanne continue to amuse and entertain...

howtorebuild · 21/10/2015 23:10

I am looking forward to Mary waking. Reverse bucket list Grin

The American hacker dude picked the wrong twin Sad

RomComPhooey · 21/10/2015 23:13

The suppository thing was funny.

TheTravellingLemon · 22/10/2015 10:48

I'm just marking my place for later Smile

SixtyFootDoll · 22/10/2015 13:17

It just gets better and better.
Rhonda and Leanne are just brilliant together.

Rob Lowe on form again.

Sweetpea021 · 22/10/2015 23:01

Loving this series, fantastic role/s for Matthew Baynton. Shocked to realise how evil Ariel actually is in this episode. Also loving Leanne, great cast all round. Hope it doesn't fizzle out.

RomComPhooey · 22/10/2015 23:09

I'm getting impatient to have them all in the bunker sparking off one another. I keep thinking it will happen the following week. Surely we must nearly be there by now?

RockNRollNerd · 23/10/2015 16:19

I don't want them in the bunker, once that happens it changes the whole show to a single room type thing. I think the whole story is how they get there - I love the way they are drip feeding in the titles who is in the bunker - his mate is in there but something has to happen to cause him to lose an eye by the looks of it. To me this has the makings of a 'short but perfectly formed' series where they could in fact end it with Anna Botting saying 'I hope we meet again soon' and then never make another one... unlike those bastard Green Wing writers who had a perfect ambiguous ending and then ruined it forever with the final one

Who is definitely in the bunker?

Arial/Jamie - I think it's Jamie but it might not be?
The nun
Giraffe girl (aka possibly Jamie or Arial's daughter)
His mate (Dave)
Rhonda

I need to go back and rewatch the credits as I realised last night they keep changing them... I can't remember if Rob Lowe is in there or not?
