Yes, Sara seems good. And Jessica (the one with a dark bob and glasses). And yes, Rose looks older than 37 I'd say. Interesting that all the people eliminated so far have been male - and there were more females than males in the top 24 to begin with. It's a very female dominated competition this year!

I'm watching this, though I am a good few programmes behind, thanks to the rugby World Cup. I have been looking forward to this for ages, and worrying that I might miss it starting - but I didn't! Phew!

Do they not have a Masterclass any more though? Haven't seen one this year, but I missed last year's MC Aus (complicated circumstances!) so don't know if it has all changed.

I think they did have Masterclass, but perhaps Watch has not chosen to show them. I always find them a bit hit and miss. As you say, all the contestants that have been eliminated have been men so far. If the series runs true to form then we can expect a female winner as we have had, Julie, Adam, Kate, Andy, Emma and Brent as winners in past seasons.

We don't watch the Masterclasses so pleased if they're not showing them. So how did Jessie get back in? I asked on the other thread but I was a Billy No Mates there! Can't stand Rose so far and love Reynold

One of the male contestants (Mario?)was found to have had professional kitchen experience and had to drop out. Jessica was the next best contestant and was asked to take his place.

So glad it's back, seen me through 2 maternity leaves over 5 years and now I'm back at work so doing lots of sneaky late evening catch ups.

John really annoys me. Totally caused his team to go into elimination. Although if you can't put up 5 plates of food, what on earth are you doing on a cooking programme. I do that every day.

I'm really pissed off with John too. I wish he had been eliminated instead of man who looks like Jesus Jarrod.

I think Georgia is doing very well. I like her and Reynold and Jessica and Sara.

I felt sorry for Georgia in the relay challenge too. But also for Jarrod, Fiona etc. It was really John's fault they lost.

I think Georgia is very good though, and seems to perform consistently well, as do Jessica and Sara. I also still like Reynold, but think he may be not flexible enough to cook enough different styles.

I am really not liking Rose, I find her sooo annoying and she is rubbish at cooking! (Better than me, obviously, but that's not the point...) Can't wait for her to go! I like most of the others though Smile

This year though - is it actually not a cooking competition, but instead a competition to shoehorn "hero" into every sentence? They even use it as a verb i.e "she heroed the beef"

I moaned about this on another thread this morning funnily enough - that, and the sentence "she farewelled the group" AngryHmm

I like Reynold, and John has grown on me.

I dislike Sara (full of herself) and Rose (incompetent)

Matt Preston is also irritating me this year, he seems to be spouting a lot of bullshit. I'm just waiting for him to refer to himself in the third person. DH thinks he is the Gregg Wallace of he Australian version Grin

I love Gary though. And the way he stares into the middle distance when he puts a forkful of food into his mouth...
