Mrsjayy · 20/09/2015 08:21

She had a matching dress on last week

CarlaJones · 20/09/2015 09:18

Aimlessly I live not far from Croydon too and shop there regularly. This is my favourite Croydon news story. www.standard.co.uk/news/croydon-disgust-at-poster-boy-policemans-jeremy-kyle-slur-6487553.html

Moln · 20/09/2015 11:15

The man off the welsh couple seems to lie in the most uncomfortable way possible!!!

Also next time there's a shot of the outside of the matching sofa and wallpaper house take a look at the curtains you can see...

AimlesslyPurposeful · 20/09/2015 12:10

Carla - Quote of the week goes to Rita Saglam "I'm surprised because he looks very proud in the photos. He looks like a proper copper, like Pc Tony Stamp in The Bill."

I hope Rita lives out her days believing The Bill was a fly on the wall doc and that all crime is solved withing 30 minutes.

Btw, I read an article recently about Croydon's "Art Quarter". Did you know we had Art Quarter?

CarlaJones · 20/09/2015 12:43
Grin

They probably mean Matthews Yard behind Croydon Fruit and Veg Market. I went to have a look, and it looked like a nice large courtyard that had been done up. The Matthews Yard cafe looked shut up when I went. (A morning during the week.) Unfortunately I don't think it's been doing well. Shame really as the courtyard looked like it would be a nice area for people to sit outside cafes/bars. It's tucked away though so I don't think people realise it's there. matthewsyard.com

RedNailPolish101 · 20/09/2015 12:59

Sponsored by Pedigree Chum this week I think!!

I missed last weeks shall have to download and check out the matching frock :)

AimlesslyPurposeful · 20/09/2015 13:02

Carla - I had no idea Matthew's Yard was there! Will have to pop along one afternoon and sample a coffee and a cookie or two. Research purposes you understand - it's a tough job etc...

Found the Art Quarter article - The Londonist.

Although I'm a bit Hmm about the description Art Quarter (One gallery and some graffiti does not an Art Quarter make) I do think it's great that someone with a bit of vision has invested in the area. He may well have timed it right too with a tube station and Westfield on the way.

CarlaJones · 20/09/2015 13:31

I hope it's busier when you go than it was when I went. There wasn't a lot there other than the shut up cafe when I went.

MeolsCop · 20/09/2015 21:35

I didn't realse until recently that Mary (of Giles and Mary fame) is the writer Mary Killen. She has a column in the Spectator as an agony aunt (supposed to be funny but I don't really get it myself), and has often written comic pieces about Giles in the past. So we're obviously seeing a well-honed act.

Still find them quite amusing, but they'll never equal my beloved Siddiquis...

areyoubeingserviced · 20/09/2015 22:02

Can't bear the UKIP family.

AimlesslyPurposeful · 20/09/2015 22:17

Re Giles and Mary - I was convinced I'd heard Giles before. Thought perhaps he'd been on the radio or voiced an advert. Anyway, today remembered where I'd heard him, or someone that sounded very like him!

It was a programme that was on E4 called Almost Royal.

Haggisfish · 20/09/2015 22:18

Well I never meols! And gules is a very accomplished artist! Who would have thought it. Don't like bnp family either but could watch siddiquis all night!

Haggisfish · 20/09/2015 22:18

Sorry, ukip family not bnp.

CrapBag · 20/09/2015 23:15

I was trying to convince DH that we should apply. Grin. He's not keen and I'm not really witty, although some googling said they can be told what to say.

I love the Siddiquis. Have been watching older series and it was so funny when Basit was moaning about his name to his dad and his dad said 'not this again'. Love Umar (not sure if that spelled right) and have a bit of a crush on him. They just seem like very decent men.

Love Stephen and Chris. Stephen is very funny. They were friends for 9 years, dated for a while, then split and went back to being friends.

Steph and Dom are brilliant, and surely have totally ruined their livers!

I love Scarlett and think she is brilliant.

Malone's and Tappers are good. I like Sandy and Sandra although I find the louder one (no idea which is which, not Queen Bee) quite irritating at times, the way she repeats stuff over and over and is so loud the other one can't hear the TV. Must be doing something right though seeing as they have been friends for so long.

No idea why they brought back the Ukip family. Those children are disgustingly rude to their parents. I'd never let my children speak to me like that, no matter how old they were.

Giles is great! Love him.

Leon is creepy. Hate the way he judges every female on her looks/figure. He is very disrespectful to June as well. According to something I read, she said he is worse in RL than he is on TV!

LatinForTelly · 25/09/2015 19:18

Oh, I'm a bit disappointed that Giles and Mary are meeja. I just thought they were funny everypeople. Loved the length of the pause, and the extent of the deadpan in 'It's just a storm in a teacup...'

'... a Yorkshire teacup'

Chipstick10 · 25/09/2015 19:52

Can't stand June and Leon

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 25/09/2015 21:14

"I want to know who's cutting her fucking 'air"
Tbf is was a bizarre cut.
Where are the puppies?

Twinkie1 · 25/09/2015 21:16

That Welsh bloke must have one massive crick in his neck!!!!

Duckdeamon · 25/09/2015 22:37

Yes twinkle, he weirdly looks comfortable but can't be good for his neck!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 26/09/2015 06:20

That hair was a sight to behold !

thunderbird69 · 26/09/2015 08:56

Spotted the framed photo of Ginge the cat last night - aww.

A bit too much Leon this week. I did like Scarlett's line 'can I lick you ring?' Grin and the woman in the caravan (can't remember her name) when a phone beeped and spooked her!

velourvoyageur · 26/09/2015 19:44

love Giles this week
"crackling fires....a salt-based snack...."
only a short while in though, on 4od
I do so hope they'll do First Dates but I guess they wouldn't have had the time?

Mrsjayy · 27/09/2015 09:39

My highlight of this week was the Moffats shitzsu face when staring at Mrs Moffat he was hilarious and then he was looking at the defrosted chicken puppy as if to Wtf are you Grin. Do sandra and sandy even watch tv anymore they just sit and cackle at each other and when she couldnt say salmon got right on my wick.
