X FACTOR 2015! New Series starts this weekend -SAT 29th/SUN 30th 8.00pm

...prompted by Hearts- here is the first thread of the year. It's traditional, innit. Even if this year, I am finding it very hard to get enthused.

So- what do we think of the new judges?
Are we happy they have got rid of the room auditions? -no--
What ubiquitous song will the acts sing in the auditions?
Will we miss Dermot dancing? Or will Strictly winner Caroline do the honours probably

It's all in the ARENA this year- apparently with props, and whatever else the acts want to bring along. Maybe even a tune, if we are lucky. It is going more and more BGT.

So, Autumn is now officially on it's way, it's nearly time for the Christmas John Lewis ad...

I always think this thread should have a 'not an appreciation thread' disclaimer sticky at the top, like Digital Spy would.

I don't make anything up. I have just re read and it reads differently to what I thought. I won't try and explain this. I will apologise in the unlikely event anyone was bothered and leave you to it

Agree with gymbunny, not sure why anyone would comment negatively about any of the judges with regards to dead relatives, nasty.

I have had a couple of bereavements recently and it made me cry watching tonight, its a totally involuntary reaction for me so soon after their deaths. I imagine its the same for them.

Back to real subject, I really hope that x factor is better this year than last, a couple of promising singers so far so fingers crossed. . .

Actually, if you read back, everyone was unusually sympathetic with regards to Simon and his Mum.

Just caught up with this thread. Couldn't live chat as my phone battery died (first world problems & all).
It was a better show tonight I thought.
I couldn't start the Australian guy - who spoke like he was American - but it's guaranteed he'll be on the live shows. I'm thinking he's similar to bearded lady from Eurovision but I just don't get it?!
I did like the blonde girl surprisingly! I thought she was good (although she really needed to extend that skirt a couple of inches!). The polish girl was horrendous.
The last bloke who's best mate died - eek I may have shed a few tears! I really love that song though. Seeing Simon try not to cry broke my cold heart as I think his mum died a couple of days before? (One show in Manchester was postponed & that's where they were).

I usually lurk on this thread but since MN won't let me add it to my watched list whilst adding with gay abandon every thread I don't want to watch I've actually had to comment.

I liked the dead friend guy and the Primark-Freddie-Mercury but I am missing Dermot and hoping there will be a surprise sacking of Caroline Flack about three episodes in to create some media intrigue.

I agree about Flack. Think Olly would have been better on his own.

By the way, did I hear wrong last week or, when a contestant said they wanted to be like Cheryl did Rita Ora say "you have to get divorced first" or similar?!
