Ooooof no love lost for Stu on Mary's part. She is giving him major shade (as da kidz say)

TheSpottedZebra · 05/08/2015 20:57

Ah, yes, Joff it is Anna Richardson - she of the shiniest hair in the world.

wankerchief · 05/08/2015 20:57

Mmmm biscuits Next week

See you then

Bin85 · 05/08/2015 20:58

Page 84 and 85 Radio Times gives all the names and occupations

Madbengalmum · 05/08/2015 20:58

I get anna richardson and dawn porter mixed up.

OccamsLadyshave · 05/08/2015 20:59

We're all Nadiya fans in this house now.

V high standard for week one. Looking forward to biscuits.

Roussette · 05/08/2015 20:59

Great fun, bye all, an extra slice is on on Friday!

GrouchyKiwi · 05/08/2015 20:59

I don't like the first few weeks so much. They're too rushed and we don't get to see enough. Think this show gets great from about the fourth week.

TheSpottedZebra · 05/08/2015 21:00

Mad one has shiny hair, one has MASSIVE shiny hair.

NoelHeadbands · 05/08/2015 21:00

There we go then, seem a good bunch I reckon!

See you next week

TheSpottedZebra · 05/08/2015 21:00

I like extra slice on straight after. Splitting them up is wrong. Plus I forget it if it's not right there.

CoffeeAndOranges · 05/08/2015 21:02

Mary was a bit harsh to poor hipster hat man - 'he never really got going'.

Good decision though, that'll teach him to wear his hat indoors...

Roll on next week! Glad they haven't buggered about with the format like lots of other programs once they get popular.

dynevoran · 05/08/2015 21:02

Yes would be much better to be on Straight away.

Money is on Nadiya so far.

Roussette · 05/08/2015 21:03

Yes I think it's too rushed with so many, prefer it in a few weeks as I spend the whole time trying to work out who is who.

OP posts:
Roussette · 05/08/2015 21:03

I agree Coffee, I was dreading them poncing it up and making it JUST NOT THE SAME

OP posts:
squoosh · 05/08/2015 21:05

Mary basically said 'he's a hipster wanker who don't know shit about cakes'.

CoffeeAndOranges · 05/08/2015 21:15

Mary basically said 'he's a hipster wanker who don't know shit about cakes'

If only she had actually said that! She has no truck with fancy modern cakes.. unless loaded with booze of course.

Wish he'd taken his hat off in defeat, like men did in the past when they heard bad news...

BoreOfWhabylon · 05/08/2015 21:57

Am certain a MNer said a while back that she was going to be on GBBO.

If so, reckon it was Victoria Wood woman.

Or I might have dreamed it Confused

Aaaanyway, glad hipster beetroot boy has gone.

GatoradeMeBitch · 05/08/2015 22:44

I wonder if it might be accidental mudslide lady? Apparently she's active on another forum, so could be...

BoreOfWhabylon · 05/08/2015 22:47

Found the thread

Wonder if she got through?

And YY, could be Dorret - how do you know she is active on a forum?

CharleyDavidson · 05/08/2015 23:01

I proper welled up at the cake disaster, especially when Sue was so lovely, saying 'It's only cake!'

Except we all know that it's NOT only cake! Grin

carabos · 05/08/2015 23:07

Ah here you are! I was on the wrong thread clearly! Thought no-one was watching Confused. Poor Dorret - we didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Shock.

GatoradeMeBitch · 05/08/2015 23:29

Someone I PM on that other forum told me. She may be mistaken, but who knows, maybe we'll get a mention over the next few weeks!

TheseventeenthSixteen · 06/08/2015 00:15

Just caught up. Thought the standard was pretty high. Two Leeds girls as well. Go Nadiya and Sandy. And both definitely contenders :) Loved Tamal's stuff (and Tamal Blush). Thought it looked very 'polished' and he obviously knows his way around a syringe.

Could have wept for Dorret. So glad she didn't a) scrape it into a bin and storm out or b) get sent home. The mudslide was just bad luck.

As The Daily Mash predicted, the 'sacrificial hipster' got his marching orders pretty damn quick. As soon as you see a hipster, you know they're going home soon.

So happy it's back.

TheRealAmyLee · 06/08/2015 01:03

Some amazing cakes, a total.disaster, fab mix of people and the right guy went. Bye bye sacrificial hipster. What's not to love?
