What TV shows make you laugh?

Im currently laid up and will be fir a week.or two, hence my TV obsession at thr moment. Hardly anything 'funny' seems to make me laugh apart from The Big Bang Theory and Everybody Loves Raymond (I know, I know its not clever but I find it hilarious). What makes you laugh?

OP posts:

Jane the Virgin

Fox28 · 31/07/2015 10:48

I haven't rtft, but Would I Lie To You always makes me laugh out loud, whereas I find a lot of other TV funny but rarely properly laugh

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 31/07/2015 10:57

All the time:
The Big Bang Theory
Black Books
Green Wing
Coupling
Father Ted
The Last Leg
Mock the Week

Some of the time:
My Hero
Not Going Out
Blackadder (some more than others)
Everybody loves Raymond

Almost never:
Seinfeld
Curb your enthusiasm

And I'll leave you with this, which might make you smile now, if you have children, anyway:

Still Game Grin

fishboneschokus · 31/07/2015 11:49

This thread should be moved to telly addicts.
I may need it for future reference.

NickiFury · 31/07/2015 11:51

I'm not a massive "comedy" fan but I watched Entourage back up back a few weeks ago and that properly made me laugh a few times.

Mimigolightly · 31/07/2015 11:53

Have just discovered Arrested Development on Netflix and it's brilliant.

SheHasAWildHeart · 31/07/2015 11:56

Arrested Development is the best thing EVER!
I need to rewatch it from the beginning.

ThatBloodyWoman · 31/07/2015 12:11

The Young Ones was hilarious.
And Ab Fab.

BeccaMumsnet · 31/07/2015 16:26

We're going to pop this over to Telly Addicts now so it doesn't go poof.

fishboneschokus · 31/07/2015 17:04

Thanks op and Becca.

I might find again. All I got from FND was 'Shit on it!'

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 31/07/2015 20:46

Series from the mid 90s "Beautiful People" (has Olivia Coleman and the actress who plays Kim Fox in Eastenders)

dinnerladies

The Inbetweeners (series rather than film)

Vicious

The Big Bang Theory

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 31/07/2015 21:04

Ooh just remebered
"A Touch of Cloth"

John Hannah and Suranne Jones, a bit "Airplane" like if you like that sort of thing.
Very Grin

Luvverly · 01/08/2015 10:47

NOT GOING OUT (TV) very sharp script and well put across. I fell about at episode on the plane.

OrangutansOnAppleTrees · 01/08/2015 14:52

Not sure if anyone has said Scrubs, but it's very funny.
Seinfeld
Still Game
The Middle
3rd Rock From The Sun

slalomsuki · 01/08/2015 18:18

Would I lie to you always raises a laugh with me

The early series of Trollied made me laugh but it's gone off the boil a bit recently.

Some episodes of friends but not all

BertieBotts · 01/08/2015 18:25

Community
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver - this is a bit like a grown up version of Russell Howard's good news, which has (I think) got a bit stale.
Black Books
Would I Lie to You - YES!

Not predominantly comedy or have serious/emotional moments but still make me laugh:
Gilmore Girls
Parenthood
Fringe
Supernatural
Orphan Black
Orange is the new Black

I am not keen on BBT but I liked Everybody Loves Raymond. Gilmore Girls is v. Raymond esque. Same kind of era.

NavyKnickers · 01/08/2015 18:27

The last leg!

Lunaballoon · 01/08/2015 18:33

Don't know if anyone's mentioned this already but Hoff The Record (on Dave) was hilarious. Really unexpected and laugh out loud funny.

Jo4040 · 01/08/2015 18:40

The Royal family.

Without a doubt
