Gasquet has a mini-break in the tie-break. Yay!

Raahh · 06/07/2015 13:44

Allez Richard!

BualadhBos · 06/07/2015 13:48

Shit!

MajesticWhine · 06/07/2015 13:48

Oh pants. Kyrgios has the set.

Raahh · 06/07/2015 13:49

bollocks.

He really doesn't deserve it.

YonicScrewdriver · 06/07/2015 13:57

Yes, great view!

Raahh · 06/07/2015 14:08

that's good. yonic

Allez Gasquet!

Raahh · 06/07/2015 14:15

I wish they would stop going on about last year!

MajesticWhine · 06/07/2015 14:23

Oh dear. Serena has beaten Venus quite convincingly. Not surprising.

Raahh · 06/07/2015 14:25

Oh. Sad

I don't want Serena or Shrieky to win.

Foot fault? Hmm

Mama1980 · 06/07/2015 14:26

Can't warm to kyrigios or however you spell that Wink but I don't like gasquet either.
Not sure either is playing as well as they are capable of.

Mama1980 · 06/07/2015 14:26

Poor Venus not surprising though unfortunately

LeBearPolar · 06/07/2015 14:27

So glad there is no Kyrgios love on here. I am sticking with the match but the fawning over Kyrgios is driving me mad. I might have to watch on mute.

On the plus side, I have never really thought about Gasquet as a player much before but the way he is playing today - coping with that ridiculous man-child at the other end of the court and his ridiculous histrionics - is really impressing me. Apart from the (understandable) racquet-smashing when he squandered match point, he has played with remarkable calm and dignity, given what he has to cope with.

Kyrgios's conduct is ludicrous. He reminds me of my most immature Year 10s - the sports players who are all mouth and swagger in the classroom because they think they're really above all the academic stuff. But Kyrgios is behaving like that on the court - which is meant to be his place of work!

LeBearPolar · 06/07/2015 14:28

Can't watch this tie-break.

Raahh · 06/07/2015 14:30

Gasquet hadn't needed to play that well, since Kyrgios was doing his 'can't be arsed' thing.

I'm not a huge Gasquet fan- but the bias in this match has been unbelievable.

So on that basis, I really want Gasquet to win. Plus the Fanatics are seriously getting on my wick. Grin

Pospisil is through....think he lost first two sets vs Troicki. Seems very young and fresh faced....don't think any Canadians expected him to be there instead of rainic....getting annoyed with Aussie supporters. They were on cc on Saturday. Not sure how they manage to get these seats when they won't know who is playing where......aargh don't want kygios to win either!

LeBearPolar · 06/07/2015 14:32

Yes - Aussie supporters another reason for muting it. Is quite pleasant to watch now - can't hear Kyrgios muttering away OR incredibly biased commentators OR irritating 'singing' from crowd.

Raahh · 06/07/2015 14:32

If Kyrgios goes on to win this, he should be penalised for basically throwing the second set. Why did Dan Evans get a warning recently, for not trying hard enough, yet Kyrgios can really take the piss and get away with it?

Raahh · 06/07/2015 14:33

Gamesmanship,? no shit, Sherlock.

Raahh · 06/07/2015 14:35

I wish they would stop making excuses for him.

Allez Gasquet!

MajesticWhine · 06/07/2015 14:36

Come on Gasquet...

MajesticWhine · 06/07/2015 14:37

YES

HenriettaTurkey · 06/07/2015 14:37

Bring it on!

Raahh · 06/07/2015 14:37

Kyrgios has served 9 sou me faults, what was Inverdale talking about?

Raahh · 06/07/2015 14:38

Thank the Lord for that.
