Iirc they had a bit of a ding dong at RG, basically because Vika wouldn't be bullied by Serena. And Serena didn't like that...

Did you see the pre-match interview with Serena where she said she is a "bit difficult to work with and be around" because she demands so much of herself and her tennis ?

I wish I liked serena.

I like the fact she and Venus are rich and successful and dont need to play anymore what with their other ventures, but they love tennis and so continue, and theyll leave a big void when they dont play any more, they are admittedly legends of the game, but ive never bought serenas 'illnesses', and shes too diva, a ''dont you know who I am'' person, almost bullies people in a pschycological way to respect her or make them lose a match IYKWIM (IMO anyway). and the marraige wrecker too (although it takes two, Patrick!!)

Their story is brilliant, from humble beginnings and all, but....she commands respect, not earns it IMO, and I much prefer Venus of the 2.

plus her behaviour, as in her attitude at the US open final twice, one of the blatant favouritisms I mentioned before. along with Shrieky, that noise should NOT be allowed to get away with.

oh no, Dodig/Mello are out! wanted them in the final.

Kim Murray...Is she the Kate Middleton/Windsor of the tennis world then? always on the front pages, what shes wearing, her reactions.......

btw- glad we're all of one mind about serena!

I think the media would like to make Kim into a more prominent figure, not sure it's something she wants. Certainly seems to keep a low profile otherwise (except when paps follow her on dog walks)

Evening everyone!

My tennis viewing was abruptly curtailed, when dh rang when I went out to collect dd1, and asked if we wanted to go and see the Minion movie. The dcs love Minions, and dd2 has never been to the cinema (and dh had just got some expenses through, otherwise I can never justify the cost). So , it was all very last minute, and we have just got back. Didn't bother with 3d- I can literally never see the point, as the 3d glasses never fit over my own, and dd1 has the same problemGrin.

I thought it was funny, dd2 was scaredConfused, but dd1 and ds laughed all the way through.

it's ages since we have done anything like that, so it was a nice change.

Had it been tomorrow, it might have been a different storyGrin

Just had a quick look at the results to see what I have missed...

There is only really Radwanska left that I like, don't know too much about Muguruza- but so long as it isn't Shrieky or Serena, I don't care.
