I think they're pretending aliens are there to keep people in. I think its some kind of psychological experiment or test

I thought it was an alien that game through the gate and dragged his body away. I reckon they're in a different time ie its much further on in time because the people in the shop new about wayward pines and said it was just some nothing town up the road, surely theyd have mentioned but its surrounded by a great fuck off wall?

I've read the books, so I'm not going to say too much, but from the way the plot it developing it looks like the whole series is going to cover most of the three books not just the first one. They're short books so with a bit of pruning it could easily be done.

Can't believe Matt Dillon is 51!!! In the books Ethan is 35ish, and Dillon doesn't look too old to play him!

I'm not convinced. How did Matt Dillon's wife and son drive to Wayward Pines and encounter the sherrif both before and after their car crash if it is meant to be 2000 years later?

And also the scientist guy (can't remember any of their names) was speaking to the secret service guy on the phone about Matt Dillon a few weeks back. So how are they able to communicate with the past?

Oooo it's fab! Really enjoyed last night's episode. It might not be in the future at all, the might be keeping them there and feeding them bollox a but like The Village film.

Ok this must be like The Village. If what the teacher said tonight is true, re the time thing, how come that Toby Jones' character (Mr Pilcher) was seen speaking to the secret service guy in the modern day and how did the Sheriff manage to catch up with Matt Dilloon's wife and son and lure them into Wayward Pines. It's all bull but I can't work out why they would be pretending.

Oh that was weird. So now they have made him Sheriff - MD obv is playing the game
