does anyone watch Scandal? season 4

I have just caught up with season 4 and OMG I neeeeed to talk to someone about it!

Anyone else watching?

Ha, I was really willing Quinn to shoot Huck!

I really thought the gladiator that died ( the black guy... What was his name?) wasn't really dead. I kept expecting him to come back as a twist.

And what is the consensus on Liv's mum?

I love Mellie not for 'drunk Mellie', but just bc she's an intelligent, charming, strong, driven woman. (Yes, quite damaged, but pretty remarkable)

Mellie is loyal and decent. Much cleverer than Fitz (my phone autocorrected to Gitz somehow - very apt) and is consistently screwed over. I love her character. I could watch her for hours.

I'm not sure about Olivia's mum. She's been in the hole for decades so is probably a bit mad, but I can't see what's so terrifying or brilliant about her.
I wonder if they'll develop her character more in the next series.
I hope Quinn did shoot Huck, but I think it's confirmed she doesn't.

Millie all the way for me. I hope she makes it as president. Disappointed with how Olivia' s character has turned out. Why would she end up with fitz. I wanted to scream at that ending of season 4.

The best episode in season 4 for me was the days before Cyrus's wedding. His husband I thought played it so well. I was in tears when I got down to pick up the bathroom things. I can't see to get off my mind.

It was meant to say that Cyrus and his marriage to the new bloke was interesting. The scene where the husband asks for the shower gel or something similar was the most poignant in the whole 4th series of scandal for me. I was glad Cyrus came through in the end and hopefully in series 5 he will give him a chance and hopefully they won't have to divorce.

Millie needs to get revenge. The strongest character who can mastermind havoc in White House and co.

She should get Cyrus on side. They know too much. They should be able to destroy Olivia. Anyway I know that it won't happen but I can dream.

I don't know why I was so sure in series three that fitz killed his own son. Anyway that must have been my imagination.

Tom killed Fitz Jr. on the orders of Rowan.

Olivia asked Rowan to get Fitz re-elected, so Rowan took the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone (garner sympathy for Fitz and get back at him for taking Olivia).

I think Cyrus' relationship has more mileage story-wise. Even though Cyrus is just horrible, his DH seems nice enough.

I love how so many of us are rooting for Mellie, I agree that her revenge should be terrible. I'd love to see Fitz undone by a vengeful Mellie.

The low point in the series was Olivia's boring kidnap plot. What was the point?

I agree re the kidnap storyline: all those billionaires willing to pay big money for her... So why don't they just kidnap her and get the info for free, seeing as she swans around without a bodyguard all day

I didn't like the Cyrus marriage storyline, but yes, thought the scene in the bathroom was touching.

When I say I didn't like it, I mean in a love to hate way, of course... Rolling my eyes in exasperation but loving it too!!

MyChild, I know! Though Rowan might have been protecting her before he stopped liking her! And Cyrus is a hypocrite too. He's tried to kill nearly everyone. It seems they all only get sniffy about other peoples murders. I do miss Scandal.
