I've just watched this. I sobbed my heart out. My DS is away so I can't even give give him a squeeze.

Feenie · 04/04/2015 00:49

Oh my god, we've just watched this and dh and I both bawled. Brilliant. Through the wringer, or what, though!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/04/2015 11:17

How can I watch the first series?

Saw last weeks in the train. That was funny and clever - Havnt seen no 2 yet but will over the weekend

HoraceCope · 04/04/2015 11:57

Love inside no 9. The first episode on the train was brilliant too, but very different from this one. Sheridan Smith is an amazing actor.

I loved all the last series too, apart the the last episode, that was too scary for me Easter Grin

Jollyphonics · 04/04/2015 12:48

The train one was very different from the Christine one. I don't think I can watch any more of them because I found the Christine one too upsetting, keeps coming back to me. Bit too powerful for me I think!

Coumarin · 04/04/2015 13:56

I feel similar to Jolly. Watched it at 5am during a bout of insomnia. Probably not the best idea, I felt very uneasy afterwards.

Very cleverly written and shot. I love Sheridan Smith and it was lovely to see Michele 'Betty' Dotrice on tv again. Sure she'll have done other things but I don't recall seeing them.

MillieMoodle · 04/04/2015 14:02

Love this series and Sheridan Smith is fab. DH and I love trying to guess the twist at the end. First I thought the first boyfriend had come back to haunt her, then when they gave her the photo album I thought she was maybe the one with dementia. DH said about 10 mins in that it was like her life flashing before her eyes.
I cried at the end, especially with the music on her car stereo (although had to explain to DH the song is "time to say goodbye").
Can't wait for the next episode.

HoraceCope · 04/04/2015 14:03

yes i thought it was firstly a ghost,
then dementia.
i wasnt so upset as others, perhaps I had better watch it again Grin

I saw Michele Dotrice in an episode of Big School (which I absolutely love) recently. She played the mother of the PE teacher Mr Gunn. She was good in that.

BunnyCake · 04/04/2015 14:23

I really want to watch Inside no 9 again but I know I won't be able to sleep after it!

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 04/04/2015 14:30

I love all of these. Some of them work better than others and I guessed the train one last week but didn't guess Christine until right before the end when I realised it was her life flashing before her all jumbled up with the reality of the accident. Very, very clever.

Coumarin · 04/04/2015 16:11

I didn't like the train one. Some of the dialogue was good, especially Julie Hesmondhalgh's character, but the pooing in the box was uneccessary and the conclusion felt a bit boring. I guess each episode has a different main writer? I missed the last series.

I wasn't upset at the end of the Sheridan S one exactly, it just made me feel uneasy and found it depressing. One of those things where you feel like you should watch something fluffy afterwards to cleanse your palette.

Jollyphonics · 04/04/2015 17:07

That's how I felt too. I didn't cry, just felt slightly traumatised!

rumbelina · 04/04/2015 18:11

Just watched both - absolutely amazing performance by Sheridan Smith, the whole thing was brilliant. I too thought she had dementia and that was why they'd made her a photo album, I was weeping buckets. And then it clicked and all made sense, and was still amazing.

Dh just went out for 20 mins and I totally got the jitters, kept hearing things and getting scared.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/04/2015 08:26

Finally seen. Very clever how all interlocked

Ana voice over baby monitor was freaky

KenDoddsDadsDog · 05/04/2015 13:13

I bloody love this. Saving the second episode for tonight. The first one was so bloody brilliant !

elbowsdontsing2 · 05/04/2015 17:02

Coumarin · 05/04/2015 18:16

I was going to ask the same thing elbow

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/04/2015 19:24

I found it in Amazon for £6.50 so brought it

KenDoddsDadsDog · 05/04/2015 21:19

Yes it's well worth it. There is a terrific episode that's all silent

chocolatelife · 06/04/2015 08:43

the silent one was fantastic Grin

2rebecca · 10/04/2015 23:41

Just watched the second episode and I agree it was brilliant. Who in the BBC decided this was a comedy series though?

KenDoddsDadsDog · 11/04/2015 21:53

Oh my goodness me. Just watched episode two, incredible but I'm still crying.
