I hate the man with a passion I didn't know I had. Smug, opinionated twat. The poor wife.

Good to see Sandy and Sandra still playing to the cameras, though.

I can't stand the new man either and DH has also taken to calling me by my name every time he speaks. I might have to kill him in his sleep.

TrulyTurtles · 10/04/2015 21:53

I head to replay the "nipples and ears are for balance" for dd. We are falling about.

AnnieLewis · 10/04/2015 21:56

Oh Scarlett!!! Another classic! GrinGrin

Weebirdie · 10/04/2015 22:05

What is she like eh? Grin

Did anyone else here Steph say at the end of the phone call 'that Nigel will be here to pick us up at 7'?

Hopefully she didn't mean Nigel Farage.

TheWrathofNaan · 10/04/2015 22:07

Does anyone know why George and family were booted off because he did big brother but yet others can do adverts and other programmes?

CremeEggThief · 10/04/2015 22:51

The new couple are very eccentric. Starting to grow on me now!

BumgrapesofWrath · 10/04/2015 22:56

I was wondering the same Wrath

Weebirdie · 10/04/2015 23:05

I like the new couple.

So did no one else hear Steph say Nigel would be round at 7 to collect them?

The new husband has grown on me. He's coming out with some bonkers things. God knows what'll come out of his mouth next!

Whereas Mary, the normal one, is actually a bit dull.

The caravan best friends are my favourite. The woman is so jolly and fun.

I also like the gay friends, but Bloke On The Right is a bit boring this year. Bloke On The Left is doing all the work and the other chap just goes "yeah, yeah....." Hmm

mrscynical · 11/04/2015 10:01

They (couple from Wiltshire) were very funny last night and made me laugh out loud. Loved the finishing line.

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 11/04/2015 10:11

Props to all who mentioned black! BLACK!

that's been at the back of my mind for weeks now I can use it next ep to dp and pass it off as me own

I think they really should have camera atop telly rather than crew because less stilted. Have been saying that since first series NO FUCKER HAS LISTENED

cheaper too

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 11/04/2015 12:10

"I expect he uses a crevice tool"

AnnieLewis · 11/04/2015 16:04

I heard Stef say that weebirdie and was also hoping she didn't mean Farage. I would have thought they'd be Tory voters wouldn't they?

Weebirdie · 11/04/2015 17:51

Annie, thank goodness for that :)

The more I think about it the more Im inclined to believe it was a plug for UKIP. Its just too much of a co-incidence otherwise.. Im actually thinking of making a complaint such is the bad taste I have in my mouth about it. And as for them being Tory voters, when it comes to immigration is there a difference between the two?

Has anyone seen any of the other participants on the phone during the show?

DuckChowMein · 11/04/2015 18:39

That artist guy talking about how they had tomboys in their day, that's girls who wore trousers. They mostly grew it of other apart from the ones who.became lesbians. Shock Grin

Weebirdie · 11/04/2015 19:27

Yes, that one was a bit of a shocker but I knew what he meant.

It must be an age thing Grin

EachandEveryone · 11/04/2015 21:59

My brother said the exact same thing at he's only 34!

Annarose2014 · 11/04/2015 22:41

They don't have a crew standing awkwardly behind the telly, do they? Where would they fit?!

I assumed it was just a single camera cos they never change the angle and even when there are close ups I presumed it was just a zoom-in of the same shot done in post-production.

I really can't see people being in the room with them, tbh.

findingmyfeet12 · 23/04/2015 19:13

I love this programme,

I do find it a little depressing as the majority of the young people on it seem to be pretty dim. As for the University Challenge part - its a difficult quiz but surely most people can answer a few questions in each episode?

The Siddiqis are very entertaining. Sandi and Sandra are fun (love the handcuff necklace!) Stephanie and Dom are trying too hard and are contrived now. I love the guys from Brighton and the new couple are growing on me too. I find Scarlet and the vicar a little annoying. I think they've both been wrongly praised for being witty and it's gone to their heads a little.

Wow I sound so judgemental!

breward · 23/04/2015 19:29

Mary's floral combination of outfits had my eyes going squiffy last week! Love the way her OH says her name at the end of every sentence. My husband has started doing it to wind me up!

DowntownFunk · 23/04/2015 23:17

That sofa is awfully empty without Silent Jay. I wonder who finished with who?

He and his girlfriend split up. He gamely stayed on the show for a few weeks after the split though. He was supposed to be on til the end of the series, I read. I wonder if one of them has met someone new.

I thought Stephen and Christopher were a couple? Please tell me they are. They're my favourites.

MsInterpret · 23/04/2015 23:27

Apparently Stephen and Chris used to be a couple, I think they were at the beginning of the show (newish viewer). But they split up since. I like them too though I don't think as funny as they used to be.

I am warming to Mary and her bloke. Quite funny! The Grand National was hilarious and I guffawed at the end at the Siddiquis with dad's meek 'sorry' for comparing GoT to Harry Potter!
