I'm up to date on the comics. I do not see how the telly can keep Judith in the show for much longer (although I don't think they need to kill her off, necessarily). She should already be walking, based on the timeline. what will they do when she's too big to carry everywhere? How can she possibly be anything other than a liability/zombie-dinner? There are going to be several years where she can't defend herself, can't run fast, can't be carried...I don't see how she can survive much longer. But I don't see how they can get away with her being got by zombies either. They bottled it with sophia (rightly so). They can't possibly show Judith being dinner. If they do write her out, even if it's in a kind way, that will surely be the BIG MOMENT in a MSF or SF? Which will mean the story completely diverting from the comics (unless she dies in exactly the same way as the comics just later in time, which will mean someone else buying the farm too - Tyrese might have been an obvious candidate but that's gone now).

Given the events of this week's episode it's fairly obvious what the set piece in the long SF might be...but that wouldn't particularly have the viewers reaching for their hankies so I think they will divert...

FireflyChild · 19/03/2015 14:55

I hope it's Daryl. Sorry!

Hang your head in shame.

The women Abraham shags can't remember her name

Rosita. I like her, I think she's pretty badass and it's a shame she gets written off so easily.

FireflyChild · 19/03/2015 14:58

They bottled it with sophia (rightly so).

Not really, I mean Carl and Sophia were pretty much the same age and he's still around.

GentlyBenevolent · 19/03/2015 15:17

No, I meant they bottled depicting her death. We don't know if she was bitten (no obvious signs of mutilation on zombie!Sophia) or if she died of fright or drowned or hit her head (actually probably we know she didn't hit her head because if she had then she'd not have reanimated) or got bitten by a snake... and I think that's probably for the best.

We didn't see either Lizzie or Mika die either.

I'm certain we won't see the moment of Judith's death, or any gore pertaining thereto.

GentlyBenevolent · 19/03/2015 15:17

I suppose if Tara is dead she won't reanimate...or will she? Can you die from a head wound without your brain being compromised?

FireflyChild · 19/03/2015 16:02

GentlyBenevolent oh ok sorry I understand now.

I agree actually. But Rick did shoot that little girl carrying a teddy bear ... I suppose that's the goriest thing that has happened to a child that you actually see. But it was the first opening scene so I guess they wanted the shock factor.

I actually think the creators would go there with a child being killed that you see, but broadcasters wouldn't want them too if that makes sense?

GentlyBenevolent · 19/03/2015 16:04

The girl was already a walker though.

I agree that it's the broadcaster who would baulk at showing a child being bitten not Kirkwood. Grin

I don't want to see that myself though, so I'm fine with that red line.

limitedperiodonly · 19/03/2015 16:20

Noah's brother was a child, albeit about 14. I found it distrubing that Noah stabbed him after he bit Tyreese.

abigamarone · 19/03/2015 16:22

No, I meant they bottled depicting her death. We don't know if she was bitten (no obvious signs of mutilation on zombie!Sophia) or if she died of fright or drowned or hit her head
She had a ruddy great bite torn out of her neck.

limitedperiodonly · 19/03/2015 16:24

Fuck. Why do I always type distrubing when I mean disturbing?

I think Noah was right to do that but that was a horrible thing to have to do and also to accept that your brother has killed your other brother, mother and your friend.

Especially in an instant.

I'm not entirely sure who killed Noah's twin and mum because they were just dead and not torn apart or walkers.

limitedperiodonly · 19/03/2015 16:25

Not Noah's twin. Noah's brother's twin.

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/03/2015 16:39

anyone notice that abs has a waxed chest? Grin

judith cant die, she will get bigger and be swapped, very surprised that they havnt found a buggy yet, or even made one from wood and wheels

must be easier then carrying her all day, but time she walked

FireflyChild · 19/03/2015 16:49

I think Noah was right to do that but that was a horrible thing to have to do and also to accept that your brother has killed your other brother, mother and your friend.

I'm confused? We don't know how Noah's family died right? (Or more to the point who was infected first and who bit who etc)

KingJoffreyFanciesDarylDixon · 19/03/2015 17:05

Tyrese was bitten by Noah's zombiefied brother.

FireflyChild · 19/03/2015 17:14

Tyrese was bitten by Noah's zombiefied brother

Yes I know that.

That's why I was only referring to his family. We have no idea what happened there.

MrsPeabody · 19/03/2015 17:19

I think they are going for attachment parenting with Judith. Will probably sling her until she is five Grin

Abraid2 · 19/03/2015 17:28

If they've got any sense they will take good care of the children. In ten or fifteen years' time some of the adults are going to be slower and less energetic. They will need a younger generation to keep them safe and to train up as doctors, engineers, farmers, etc, or else it's back to the Dark Ages.

MrsPeabody · 19/03/2015 17:30

Firefly, I feel like I need to rewatch that episode now. Wasn't the mother just lying on the livingroom floor...had she been shot? I seem to remember thinking it had been the wolves.

FireflyChild · 19/03/2015 17:46

Wasn't the mother just lying on the livingroom floor...had she been shot? I seem to remember thinking it had been the wolves

I think so. Her head was definitely damaged enough that she couldn't reanimate.

The twins were walking about freely though, and I don't think they had a W on their forehead.

They were definitely invaded by The Wolves though.

Perhaps The Wolves attacked to steal their supplies and then it got overrun with walkers so they left and the rest of the community who hadn't already died weren't able to defend themselves?

GentlyBenevolent · 19/03/2015 17:50

Limited - but Noah's brother was already a walker. We didn't see him getting bitten and/or eaten. I think that's a red line for them.

GentlyBenevolent · 19/03/2015 17:52

Firefly she had been shot or at least she had a wounds. There was blood on the wall too.

limitedperiodonly · 19/03/2015 17:59

Fireflychild

Noah and Tyreese went to Noah's house.

A woman was lying on the floor. I took her to be Noah's mother. I don't understand how she died and didn't turn.

A teenage boy with his abdomen torn out was lying on a bed. I took him to be one of Noah's younger twin brothers. Same thing about not understanding how he died but didn't turn.

While Tyreese was trying to take it into account, a walker, who I took to be Noah's other brother, who was the twin, bit Tyreese.

Noah then spiked his brother in the head.

I don't understand why none of the corpses weren't in such a horrible state that it knocked you back as soon as you opened the door.

But I love TWD so I'll forgive it.

GentlyBenevolent · 19/03/2015 18:00

Actually, thinking back - I think it might have been a baseball bat...Grin

I still think that showing a walker munching on a child won't be happening any time soon. But I also don't think that Judith will be around for much longer.

FireflyChild · 19/03/2015 18:09

Yes Limited I get that, I did watch the episode haha.

I was just confused when you said -

I think Noah was right to do that but that was a horrible thing to have to do and also to accept that your brother has killed your other brother, mother and your friend.

Did you mean Noah had to accept that his brother had killed his twin, mother and Tyreese?

GentlyBenevolent · 19/03/2015 18:12

I don't believe for one moment that either of Noah's brothers killed their mother. One twin might have killed the other one. But we didn't see that.
